Well techincally there is still a day to go on the poll until naming ends. The irregulars does have a big lead though and we have already had more votes than we have members so i dont see it doing any harm if you want to change it over. I cant see us having a huge rush of votes at the last minute. Up to you. If you want to stick it on you might as well. If not its only a day. Just my opinion.

I have just tested the prefix and.....it works.

It seems the program puts a space between the prefix and the name, so you can fill in as your prefix "TG-IRR".

Rats. Forgot about the six char max thing. Can't have the | |'s. Does it look OK in game or is it annoying?

I think we should add the bars in there... since we live in an unranked world now, it's easy to just create a new character with |TG-IRR| as part of th ename itself.. For you SM's, just make sure to update your forum-profile w/ your new BF2 ID.

(the rest of the squads use this method: |TG-1stMIP|, |TG-187th|, |TG-42nd|,etc.)

If changing my login is going to be a requirement for IRR, I think I'll withdraw. It's not the rank tha tmatters--- it's all the people on All Seeing eye that already have my current handle in their friends list.

I dont think anyone is trying to make this a requirement and i dont see any need for you to withdraw. I dont even wear the TG tags at the moment as i still dont think i can represent the community as it deserves to be on server. Im sure that wont mean i get booted. As far as i see it, this thread is still open on the issue. You have raised a valid point about login names, lets see where it goes. I think the bars look better and I will probably create a new profile when i do wear them. But after all, we are the "Irregulars". Post how you think you will design your prefix and it may well get adopted by those who also have the same problems or do not want to change their account.

I'll use plaiun old TG-IRR till someone comes up with something better.

Why couldn't we just do |TG-I|? It's 6 characters (the maximum allowed) and it's not going to be confused with anything else. I'll admit that it doesn't look as good as |TG-Irr|, but it would prevent the need to make a whole new account.

Besides, |TG-I|Delta_Swift equates to "Thank God It's Delta_Swift!" But if you use |TG-IRR|Delta Swift it equates to "Thank God I Rediculously Ridicule Delta_Swift!" That is not cool.

I'm torn about this... I like the way |TG-Irr| looks, but understand the issues..

It's not big deal to me because i pretty much exclusively play on TG servers... and I've only got like 6 ASE buddies that i'd need to update...

I guess the only thing to add is that you CAN have multiple accounts... not sure if that makes any sense or not, but... that's what I plan on doing -> keeping my (current) ranked account (in case it's usefull to have down the road), and then creating another account to use on TG servers...
