Vehicle 'boost' button (or and thanks again!)
Hi BF2'ers
1st off, hope all you good people had a good happy holiday season and of course did cap alot of people in battle. Thanks again, I cant say that enough, for a great server and top top top quality players, I bought someone along last night, he only just bought the game and really is new to it all. TG helped him, and I helped him - he is a new convert and nobody patronised him. Good deal ![]() Now my question (I have searched) What the hell is the 'boost control' for vehicles. I am a tanker and I feel I may be missing out on some sort of Wizard of NOS military upgrade for the old Abrams ! Thanks, And a happy new yar ! Glen. |

Re: Vehicle 'boost' button (or and thanks again!)
Vehicle Boost was a feature that was removed before release. I can't really say why. EA never released an official reason. In an FAQ they simply stated that they removed it before launch.

Thanks for the info, I read the rules and told the new guy to too
![]() BTW - thanks for the rules, not for the rules 'as such' but for the writing of them in such a way as to be both informal and a benefit to the game. ![]() ![]() |

Re: Vehicle 'boost' button (or and thanks again!)
Now I'm going to have to try this again, because I thought that button actually worked. As such: when klunking up a hill in an APC I hit the boost button, the audio of the engine seems to downshift into a steady gear and I get a little more power. I always figured it was a lame name for downshift...

Re: Vehicle 'boost' button (or and thanks again!)
Hate to bump an old thread.... but this vehicle boost might also relate to jets having the ability to afterburn...
just like athe infantry run meter you can 'run' while pilotingany of the jets to burn your 'stamina' meter and obtain a faster acceleration with an after burn... handy for short takeoffs and missle avoidance as I believe my turns get tighter in an afterburn
