TG-IRR squads ingame

hey guys...

Just a note... When you start a TG-IRR squad, that's cool. But when you leave it, please close the squad. Tonight on Dragon Valley, I joined a TG-IRR squad, w/ only one TG-IRR guy in there, and he wasn't even the squad leader. That's not cool.

You need to be SL to close the squad. Simply tell everyone that you have to go, and are going to close the squad - and that whomever would like to squad-lead, should start a new squad.

Then, at the bottom of the squad's page, there's a "Manage" button. Click that, and then you can highlight people to kick from the squad and invite to the squad. Kick everyone, leave the squad... et viola! squad closed! nice and tidy!

(also, when you DO start a TG-IRR squad, please hit the manage button, and INVITE people from the squad. Often times we'll be scattered throughout other squads, and don't know there's an Irregulars squad rolling...

Finally, don't be afraid to name it something other than TG-IRR... like "Pirates" or "ARRRRRRG" or something

Re: TG-IRR squads ingame

it is one extra thing to do, but it only takes a few seconds, and it's only needed when you're leaving the game, so...

(it'd be easier if EA let us change the squad name in the first place... it's the same idea as when you play in an air squad and then karkand loads... you leave the chopper/jet squad and create a new squad)

I wish people would actually do that. I have played several games where I would be in a jet squad for one, then an infantry map would load (so I'd leave the jet squad, but nobody else would), then another map with jets would load. The people in the jets squad would continue groundpounding and the jets would go unused. So, then I would start another squad called 'Jets2' or 'Real Jets' or something and actually use the jets. Then someone new would join the original jets squad and start yelling at me for 'stealing' the jets. If people would just close their squads when necessary then this wouldn't happen.

PS: Nice little session in the ARRRRRRRG Squad, Whiskey

You don't really have an advantage with depth perception when staring at a monitor two feet in front of you.... well, unless you've got some of those 3D glasses for the computer. Maybe you're one of those 3D glasses wearing kinda pirate guys.

Maybe we should make people in the Irr's wear eyepatches instead of a tag. You don't even have to make a new acount!

What about the parrot on one shoulder? Doesn't he throw off your accuracy? And doesn't all the squaking give your position away too easily?

What have I signed up for...

Avast me hearties -- I've been spending time away from BF2 lately on Sid Meier's Pirates, so I can relate. If I don't transition right, the eyepatch tends to make me mis-judge my grenade throws. On the plus side, my new wooden legs make my hitbox a bit smaller.
