Mashtuur 1/2

Just want to give HUGE props to luckyshot for commanding USMC when our orignal commander resigned. At the time we were like 100 tickets down with like 2 flags i think. It was amazing work on the ground but lucky really pulled us together. We finally got the bleed back and caught up. We were neck and neck right till the end.

He was goin everyone be medic! Dont spawn if you die!! lol it was great. We lost by only 5 tix i believe or somethin close to that. Even though we lost, it wouldve been a lot worse if it werent for him.

Also, huge props to my awesome squad. Im real bad with remembering names so if you were in my squad feel free to chime in. I know kilrogg was there for about half of it. Also lucky before he commanded. It was hard gettin that north gas but we finally got it and held it for the rest of the map.

I dont squad lead that much cuz i feel like a drill seargent sometimes with my orders. You guys never complained and made my life a whole lot easier. Thanx.

Great job USMC on a battle well fought!

Re: Mastuur 1/2

Wow, thanks man! i did what I could, but really all I did was direct traffic. I didn't catch who was what squads, but everyone did a good job of following orders and it made it much easier to pull back a couple tickets from where we were at.

Squad 3 did a terrific job of holding the Backyard until overwhelmed. Squad 1 was caught in heavy traffic at the mosque until we could get them to break out and recap the Hill. There they defended along with squad 4 against what became overwhelming numbers moving from the South Gas Station and the Hotel. Squad 8 did a number on the Powerstation and in the second taking of the Hotel. Squad 5 (Snail) was a rock at the North Gas Station with help of a sniper Squad 7.

It was a game where we shouldn't have had a chance at the time I stepped up and was proud that we made it a game. It was 4-7 at one point before we lost 0-6. At that point, I thought we had it, especially as the arty was starting to drop on the 10 red dots at the mosque.

Good games and appreciate the mention!

Yes, that was a good round. I was with the MEC in WhiskeySix's squad. That was one hell of a fight. I've never been sniped so many times in one round. I swear it felt like you guys had 5 snipers around the Mosque area. Jusb and Phoenix were particularly nasty...especially with falling claymores!

Great work by both teams.

I was on the USMC and when i saw lucky step up i knew it was gonna get closer. Didnt expect it to be like that though. I just joined in on beatniks squad and held the south gas station from a few sporadic attacks.

Loved that round...soo close. I thought the US had it but we lost bleed near the end. Heres the charts:

Ya my squad of 4 was around that area pretty much the whole game. A good chunk of the round we were working in pairs it seemed even though that wasn't a stated plan. Phoenix and I worked together from a building between the mosque and hill. Looked like perry and Icky teamed up at the end from the high point near the backyard. Was very effective if the stats are any indication.

I concur with your assessment sir. Very effective indeed! Despite holding the Mosque, we could never get you guys off the roof, and we lost a lot of men trying to. There was not a single moment while on that side of the map that we were not getting killed or pinned down by sniper fire. It was rediculous!

Re: Mashtuur 1/2

The sniper team for USMC made a huge nuisance of themselves. Seemed like half my deaths were from headshots or claymores. Nice work ya bastages. Funniest moment was when Killrog somehow rolled a claymore down the stairs at me. I kept backing up waiting for him to pop out the doorway, meanwhile the claymore keeps rolling down at me. I figured surely it would stop.... it didn't.

and a famous quote from our sl, Seppy, when the score was around 400-300: "it's over now, we just need to sit back. Trust me, its over."

Was that right before he slumped over with a hole in his head?

I think he typically gets shot in the ass since he's usually running the other way.

It made me laugh quite a bit when you guys were hiding behind the wall and trying to hit my sniper friends across the river. What you didn't know was that I was looking at you from the side, and the wall was doing nothing for you.

Unfortunately, I think the USMC had too many snipers. We had a dedicated 4-man sniper squad and then 3-4 additional snipers. In spite of the snipers putting up great numbers, we had bleed against us for almost the entire map.

Luckyshot definitely turned things around when he stepped up. Had we won, it would have been an impressive steal.

yeah, i remember that - we were just waiting at the hill for the Vod to spawn so we could move out... after about 30 seconds, i started telling everyone to just go hide somewhere, the only point hanging around the wall is to pad your revive stats Edit: hehe - then someone spotted you over behind the tower running down into the river-bed. Seeking revenge, all 6 of us charged after you

Also - I'd like to give big props to SmallFatCat who CO'd the round... he did a remarkable job!! Communicated constantly, gave great Sit-Reps to SL's, ordered squads to fallback when numbers were overwhelming, etc., etc.... It was very impressive (especially given the fact that he was asset-less for at least 1/3 of the round, and during that time, he still managed to be active and effective!) Good Job fatcat!

Re: Mashtuur 1/2

Yeah that was a good game. I really thought we had lost it at the end when I heard the artillery firing in the distance.

I took over as commander early on in the game when I realised that we didn't have one. I've never CO'd on a TG server before and it was a bit nerve wracking at first.

I'd like to thank everyone who played that game, you made my first CO stint a real blast.

I'd thank everyone by name but in the panic I didn't know who I was talking to most of the time.

[EDIT] - Actually, I was CO from the start of that map, it was the map before that I took over the CO role because we didn't have one.

I know! At first I was thinking "omfghax!11! he's shooting through the wall." Then someone spotted you near the watertower and it all became clear. So I called back PB and told them cancel the hardware ban request I put in.
