Swimming

I used this tactic with my squad the other night, and was surprised to hear most of them didn't know about it. Not really a tactic, more of a tip. When crossing a river, swim with your back to your destination. Most of your body will be submerged, only the tip of the back of your head is visible. Try it.

Re: Swimming

Hmmm, that's pretty cool. I'll have to check that out later tonight.

Re: Swimming

Kewl tip dood. Also, whenever going to land, make sure you go wide enough so you don't get hung up. You can't even hop up an inch to get on a ramp, the spot where you get on has to be below your feet.

Re: Swimming

I avoid swimming as much as possible, it seems to be a poor way to move around the battlefield - but good tip!

Re: Swimming

Is the speed of your swimming any slower when you swim backwards?

Well, when you swim forward you have the option of using Shift. When swimming backward, you can't. So yeah, your reduced visibility is evened out by reduced speed, I guess.

Re: Swimming

Well you could swim forwards until your sprint runs out and then swim backwards...or just swim backwards from the start and save your sprint for the last few meters. Once you're close enough to the enemy, swimming backwards won't reduce your visibility much, so just turn around and use your sprint at that point.

Re: Swimming

I don't think it was implied to always swim backwards. Like anything else, it has it's place. But it is definately a valuable tip.
