Sent off an e-mail to the PR guy, Paul, about tracker support... here is a bit of the info I got back... man o man I can't wait to see how it's going to work outside of an airplane. hehe
copy/paste one small part of reply: I had a word with the programmers and those currently working on implementing tracker support, the answers were as follows: 1. It will be for both vehicles and infantry. 2. It will be more than 2 movements, but maybe not all 6. SWEET! |

http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/...games-all.html
Natural Point updated the TrackIR supported games list and Armed Assault is now listed. Looks like we get 6DOF! |

Re: Tracker IR info...
Quick question folks. Is it really comfortable? Somehow, I think it wouldnt while you are turning your head while your eyes are fixed on the screen...
Also, is there a button (or assigned keyboard key) to turn it on/off quickly? |

Re: Tracker IR info...
I got mine recently to use in Enemy Engaged. It's not hard to get used to at all. It's very natural to use and doesn't require extreme head movements. There are keys to enable/disable, alter sensitivity and recenter the device.
It'll be great to finally have a FPS that supports this. It'll be fantastic to have independent head movement from the crosshair using the most intuitive kind of input. It doesn't get any better to move your head in game by moving your head. If games added leaning with TrackIR, it'll be a glorious day. I'm sure most of us have leaned at our desks thinking we'll lean in game. One day we'll actually be able to do that! |
