Fantastic game! Zatar 10pm GMT/5PM EST 10 Jan

Just have to say, what a fantastic game last night on Zatar!

So nice to see the server so full mid evening GMT - but it was the game itself that was cracking!

For me this was mostly because the people in my squad (I was SL) were just so good, worked so hard and put up with my whackey Squad Leading skills! LOL

Many thanks to them (there were a couple of TG-Irr guys there).

We did a really busy defence of the central hill - then capped the game off by an exciting full squad assault in the Seahawk on the MEC base just before thier UCB! (This to my mind sealed the game for the USMC - what a great job my guys did).

...Before Zatar there was a nice Dragon Valley, and then a very tense Sharqi (with a big battle at the TV Station) which ended with us winning by just 1 ticket!

One regret I have is that I didn't get the name of the USMC commander during the Zatar game (I'm going to try and find out with a message in the general forum) - he was superb!

All in all I really enjoyed myself - hope my squad did (my 'style' isn't everyones 'cup of tea'). Last night is exactly why I like TG.

Cheers all!

Arrrggghhhh, I think I disconnected just before this map as I had already being playing for 2 hours and pasta and American Dad were calling out to me so sorry I missed it.

In saying that there were 16 of us on at 8pm GMT/3PM EST and about 10 had pings > 130 so I'm guessing European players. For the next 2 hours of gaming there was always a |TG-Irr| prefix in the top 3 players. Kinda nice to see

Either way, nice playing with Big_Ranger, beaten by Bleak, standing on a roof with the rest of my squad trying to figure out where JimmyTwoHands got his nick, feeling sorry for Just G 'cos he couldn't use his mic.....

No problems...I could see the odd message in green flash past my eyes from time to time

I was lucky to be on Jimmys squad in the 8:00 - 10:00 EST games last night and had a great time - he's a great SL. As to how he got his sig - I asked and I don't think I want to go there LOL
I must apologize to those of the squad who I unceremoniously dumped in the water at the Farmhouse as I drove the buggy off the bridge. Next time Jimmy, don't shout "LETS GO" - you made me nervous.
Anyway I later took consolation in the fact that I wasn't the worse driver of the night when my buggy driver ran head on into another team members buggy.

Im still very much "in-training". Wait until you get on a team with some of the SLs from the numbered squads, its a whole different level. Very nice playing with you though, you always responded well to orders even when it meant lugging an unfamiliar spec ops kit around without any final purpose.

I was just a bit wary of that huge artillery barrage that was rolling towards our full buggy mate.

Sorry I got you wet. And I was a little disappointed I didn't get to use the SO kit. I didn't check it out but figured there was something in it that had to do with blowing stuff up oooooooh I'm so disappointed - me like blowing stuff up.

I'll be on tonight between 6:00 and 7:00 EST then it's the next episode of LOST. I have to burn the second season to DVD and send to my son in England as he's a LOST fanatic.

Re: Fantastic game! Zatar 10pm GMT/5PM EST 10 Jan

Er...

In retrospect - I must make one embarracing ommission...

A big sorry to the guys I got wet when I stupidly drove the buggy I was driving clear PAST the bridge and into the river!!!

Luckily we all swam to safety...But I could sense the ranting at the other end of the Internet!

I cannot even blame a lagget - the server was smooth...Just my bad driving.

Er......Oooooopps?

(Which is why I was SO surprised near the end of teh game when my whole squad trusted me enough to get into a Blackhawk with me!)

Soz!

Its always good to have the old faithful SL excuse standing by though. "can someone else drive? I have to use my minimap...."

I seem to remember you used that excuse several times on the night. Next time I will be chanting "are we there yet?"
