She must be smarter than I am

The 365-50 roll call Thursday by which the House approved a resolution condemning the abuses of Iraqi prisoners while commending the members of the U.S. Armed Forces serving in Iraq.

Voting "yes" were 151 Democrats, 213 Republicans and one Independent.
Voting "no" were 49 Democrats and one independent.
X denotes those not voting. There is one vacancy in the 435-member House.

OK, I'll bite.

Does this resolution "do" anything? or just a "hey, look at me!" type thing?

I mean, the title is common sense and all....

From what I can see, it's one of those non-binding House things, and Nancy Pelosi once again steps in it, keepin' it real for her constituents in San Fran.

I'm betting the reason those sick liberals didn't vote for this resolution was due to the praise that was expressed for the majority of our Armed Forces. I'm beginning to agree with one of Michael Savage's opinions: liberalism is a nasty, debilitating disease that must be stopped. To vote against this resolution is just disgusting...

Your source is incorrect, I believe. The only independent in the House voted for this resolution and a Republican voted against it...

Re: She must be smarter than I am

lol, yahoo quoting the AP was my source. I'm happy to learn of the mistake

The text is now available. Seems spot on, but I can also see why the Pelosi's of the world would not want to vote for it.
