Post Officers for the irregs

It is the time the Irregulars had some people in fixed roles to divide up the work load and make sure that things get done. The "everyone pitches in where they can" thing doesnt seem to be panning out too well so far. If you have been eager to take a more active role in the irregulars yet didnt think the opportunities were there, think again. Now is the time to step forward and do your bit for Queen and country. None of the roles are too demanding of time. Most is quick and easy and only requires occasional editing or checking into the forum every other day or so. The roles i think we need are:

Recruitment officer/Sergeant - Responsible for checking the recruitment thread, updating the roster and being the first point of contact for those wishing to join the irregulars. Will also help in the development of recruitment policy.

Training officer/Sergeant - Arranges practices, liases with members about new tactics and helps to ease the transition of players who are new to BF2 and/or TG.

Intelligence officer/Sergeant - Handles the organisation of the scrim league, team scrimmages and external scrimmages. His main duty will be getting people to where the bullets are flying in an organised manner through good communication.

Communications officer/Sergeant - Primary duties include the management of the irregulars wiki pages and liaison with the other officers to disseminate information in an effective and efficient manner.

It would be good to have two people in each role. A primary or "officer" and a secondary or "sergeant". This means you can both share the (minimal) duties and maintain flexibility for those of you who have busy lives.

If you are interested in doing your bit post back with the position you are interested in and we will see what comes of this. Dont worry if you are new or scared, its willingness that counts.

Re: Officers for the irregs

I'm in.

I'm leaning towards Training Officer/Sergeat or Recruitment Officer/Sergeant. But I'll do whatever you guys feel I'd be the most helpful at.

So, put my name on the list. Whatever I can do to help.

Re: Officers for the irregs

Bloody marvelous. Thanks Thierry. You came up with some good stuff at the practice the other day.

At this point then if we provisionally put Chickenlegz in as recruitment officer and Thierry in as Training officer. We still need two more officers and some deputies guys so keep the interest coming.

I do not have a lot of time on my hand but I can be a training officer exclusively for helping new guys learn how to fly the jets. I believe I can do infantry training but it is not my best skills.

Re: Officers for the irregs

All offers of support are greatly appreciated. If you do not feel you have the time to step into a position then make sure that you let Thierry know that you are willing to pitch in and help out in specialised areas. You can then coordinate if and when the occasion arises.

Re: Officers for the irregs

I'll be glad to take the reigns of the Recruitment. I'd also like to be Thierry's sergeant if no one else steps up to the plate.

Re: Officers for the irregs

Go for it. If you are willing to put in the effort im sure you would be great in both roles. I understand you already have some experience setting up training but it needs someone reliable to keep up to date with the recruitment thread and keep a welcoming face at the front door. If you want to fill both thats fine, you cna laways rejig further down the line.

We still need intel and communications covered.

Hmm...

I guess toss my hat into the ring for communications, since that's what I bitch about the least I could do is put my money (time) where my mouth is.

Re: Officers for the irregs

I'd love to help. I don't have a ton of free time, but if nobody else signs up I can help manage the wiki. That would be a Sergeant, I guess.

Re: Officers for the irregs

Yep, no excuses now. How about adding the officers list as it stands as your first official duty?
