I'm excited by this game because unlike games like the new ghost recon, the graphics don't involve intensive pretty lighting.

This means I'll be able to crank the settings without having to buy a new video card. yay

As long as the fameplay is not like BF2...

Already seeing a lot of stuff centered around vehicles.

because vehicles make better screenshots... if you have ever played OFP you know it's centered more around an infantry squad with vehicle support.

But times change I hope you are right. I expect you are but after seeing the fall of games like Ghost Recon I am skeptical.

Expect Armed Assault to be exactly like OFP but nicer graphics and some better features. It's basically an upgraded OFP engine aka OFP 1.5.
