Both can be activated, and I'd prefer all game club members stay in TS so that they do not get out of that habit. Even if you only use ingame coms, open up teamspeak.

Re: teamspeak or in game comms?

So how was it last night?

I joined early for about a half an hour, alot of never seen before TG'ers...
Then joined a little after 9, spectator for a while, then didn't know how to come out of spectator mode, so disconnected, went to re-connect and the server was full, lol, Yes, I know I could of asked an admin to boot someone... but that game is just to damn fast for this old man. So called it a night...

Looks like, because the server was full, it was a success for "Game Club" night... I just prefer to slow down, those fast pace run and guns are going to give me a heart attack one day. lol

The best part was when I was standing in a concave, looking over the open battlefield, thinking "What the hell do I do, I ain't just running out there"

Vulcan (I believe it was vulcan, or one of the main players I know), runs by me, see's me and says... "Oh, hey Magnum"... as he runs by directly into the open battlefield... I think just for a second, "OK, I'll follow and support him"... as I prepare to follow, I see a large explosion and see him get thrown and blood splatter on the wall near me... I wipe my face to check for blood splatter... then turn the other way and run. "I aint going out there". lol

Yeah it is very fast magnum, it can be slowed down though.

Gotta love the soaring of a body from a couple nades.

I wouldn't be so quick to attribute it to the Game Club, since it was Free Weekend. I saw, other than myself, 5 returning players from the Club in the hour that I was on.

I prefer a more tactical game myself, not running off to get mowed down by MGs as you race to cap a flag. Funny, people slam UT2004 as a fragefest and TDM, but then endorse the gameplay that I saw last night as "tactical". Overall, I was disappointed with the game, and said so in the admin forums.

As far as the game club is concerned, it is a question that I will revisit when I get back from vacation. Since the other games in the rotation draw out the hardcore teamwork and tactics group, I don't see a run and gun game as really working in the rotation.

Hope you don't remove it...i felt the same at first...but maybe if we get enough ppl we can just PW protect the server on game club night...that would solve the problem.

AFAIK, the deed is done. There's no reason why we can't drum up enough business to use the server once a week to get things started. It's just a matter of organisation.
