Want your own Mauser?

You can get yourself a very nice piece of history for only $299
Nice rifle for a nice price!

Want the actual K98? That'll cost a bit more...

Oh, that's only $350 if you go compete in a marksmanship competition first!

Re: Want your own Mauser?

My dad has a little collection of historical firearms. He bought the Mitchell Mauser from Serbia....it's a nice piece, but I would save up a few 100 dollars more and buy an original bring back from the war. If you don't go for matching serial numbers you can get one for a reasonable price, manufactured during the war with all the appropriate waffen marks. Own the real piece of history, not the imitation. www.gunbroker.com is a good site, or go to a gun show. Don’t buy the Russian ones though…they filed down the stamps and put them back into service. My graduation present from college, which my dad now has in his possession, is a 1939 Luger, all marching serial numbers except for the clip. (which are usually impossible to find if the weapon saw service) That was about $900 at a gun show. Usually, a Mauser will have a different bolt or stock piece as they were often refurbished and put back into circulation. My uncle owns one of those M1’s you mentioned Cing…a beautiful weapon that also saw actual combat during WW2. Future acquisitions : a Colt .45 (1911 Model) and a P.38.

Re: Want your own Mauser?

My dad got a Mauser for christmas a couple of years of ago for about that price, it's not a bad deal and it came with bayonette. The mauser might be replica, considering the price. He also has a Luger that I know is a replica but was made about 20 years ago in the same factories that built the original Lugers, it was a limited time thing and I don't think (not sure) they make Lugers there anymore. That Luger cost him a 9mm (?) Beretta w/ laser sights and a hair trigger (that knocked about $1000 off the Luger) and an extra $300. Sorry don't know much about guns so I can't add too much more to the convo lol.

Re: Want your own Mauser?

I had a Miss Mauser for grade 12 Calculus. If only I had known then that she was also a gun. What a stack of joke material I missed out on.
