Tactical Mod .8 Night - Sunday Night!

Just a reminder everyone, Sunday Night we'll be playing/playtesting Tactical Mod .8 on Server 1. This is really a critical point in the development of the Tactical Mod, as your feedback from tomorrow night will determine how we start promoting the mod externally. Once the mod development team feels the mod is "ready for primetime", we're going to start pulling in like minded players from other communities.

So let's have another big turnout for the mod tomorrow night. Make sure to note any tweaks that need to be made and post in the AAR. See you there!


EDIT: Whoops, typing 'server 2' was a habit I'm happy to break.

Correct, Tactical Mod Night as usual. I think asch will be making an official announcement about the version 0.8 release soon.

will claymore/mines be friendly fire enabled? i couldnt find anything about it on the tacticalwiki

Yes, mines will kill teammates. It's not a tacmod thing, it's a standard BF2 thing.

Gunjin i did last week and it was awesome. the game - not the day in the office on Monday
not sure yet but i am trying to make it.

I'm having trouble connecting - it's complaining about modified content. I downloades the mod from the link provided in the sticky (which is .8), then after the first failure to connect downloaded and installed it again - still no luck.

I do not have map pack 2 - just SAK2 downloaded separately. I can't see any reason why that would be a problem though. Any suggestions?

And now (two full hours after my first attempt to get some BF2) after downloading and installing Map Pack 2 and another reinstall of the mod, I keep being told I've been kicked for teamkilling or because of a vote when I try to join. What's that about?

The kick is because the server is full, if it is at 62/64. We have a reserved slot system in place for our supporting members.

The SAK2 version that you got seperately is somehow different than the one that comes with Map Pack 2.
