Joining an Empty Server

I can't stress enough how important it is to do this. You sitting on the server idle for maybe 10-20 minutes is enough to get the ball rolling to the point that our server can be full in 40 minutes. You are not the only one who wants to play DoD, but you must be brave enough to bear that empty server for a while.

If you are bored, I suggest you place yourself in the middle of the map and do something in real life until you see your character get shot out of the corner of your eye.

Doing this is absolutely critical. I try as much as possible.

Re: Joining an Empty Server

are there any bot mods out? Use a few bots to seed the server, then they take a break when we get some players

No perma-bots, never. Bots will turn off more players than they will bring. Optional bots that you can turn on, like in NS, would be extremely good.

Re: Joining an Empty Server

If there were a system in which I could add bots I'd start seeding the server more, especially if I could set up a zombie (lots of bots with knives) match while I waited
