More games and game variations means we need another RECRUITING DRIVE!

There have been comments that with new games like RO coming out... and mods like the Tac Mod... that the vanilla server isn't as active.

Well that's our own faults and this type of thing should be expected. What we need to continually do is recruit new players for all games and mods. It's been a while since the last recruiting drive... so let's get another one in action.

I strongly agree, Would be nice to have players on the TG servers 24/7. I hate haivng to join pub servers after hours. Whats the best method of recruiting?

Spam other forums you belong to with advertising. I usually do this when someone on other forums I belong to say they are looking for a good place to play. I usually always end up giving them the link and telling them to check us out.

Spam is the wrong word to use. Don't do that. Don't make it an annoyance.

If someone talks about teamplay and objectives and mature play, then reference the TG community site. Don't get into arguments and be respectful.

You're right. Don't spam. But mention it once during a conversation, provide them with a link and even tell them who to talk to or hook up with in game once they get there. Don't mention it on every post.

In my defence I didn't mean spam as in spamming. I just meant mention it in the thread or put a link to TG in your sig or something this way people who are curious can click on their own.

Re: More games and game variations means we need another RECRUITING DRIVE!

Recruiting is good stuff and I completely agree. I was beginning to think I was the only one not going to switch to RO! I think pub raids are another way to raise interest in TG servers. Any time you see a dozen people with the same tag (TG) all playing together and kicking butt and making best squad, etc, it is going to garner some interest. Anyone wanna step up and organize one?

Kisses!
Sassy

One of the best tools to persuade is to link the new guys's praise about how it changed their experience...

It will make it unbiased...

I understood what you meant and wasn't meaning to pick on you... I just wanted to make sure that everyone else understands your meaning more clear. It's all good.

Re: More games and game variations means we need another RECRUITING DRIVE!

I'm not so sure.. last time I went on a recruiting pubbie raid we brought this Exploding Silver guy back... wouldn't want to repeat that mistake would we?

Ikilleveryone: "I'm thinking of quitting BF2, it's just full of random rushing around quake style, I want something a little more realistic although still fast paced"

TG member: "I agree IKE, this is why I like www.tacticalgamer.com because we have to be in squads, we fight as units all trying to compete towards the same task and as well as succesful it's also a lot more fun as you get to know your team-mates a lot better and have a joke as you play".

^^^this is a much better way to advertise us than just opening a new thread and saying how great we are.

Re: More games and game variations means we need another RECRUITING DRIVE!

What we need to do is use the pub raid TS channel, find a good server, join it, then create a squad named LEARN TG, just like the squads for newbies on our servers. Then, if someone joins, we can tell them all about us.

I'll start going out into the wild and looking thru the forums. Please post any threads in which you mention us here so others might contribute.
