Run in front of a vehicle, and you die

Remember when you were 5 and your mommy told you to look both ways before you crossed the street? Same applys in BF2. Who woulda guessed that running right in front of a vehicle would kill you!

As an example, I had a bad experience last night in Karkand. I drove my hummer into the warehouse to pick up squad mates. Instead, I had guys from out of my squad get in, and about 5 others were clambering around me trying to get in. On top of that i had 2 people under my car. After a lot of honking and multiple teamkills, i gave up on humanity, got out of my car, and walked to my destination. I felt like i was driving through a mob.

So, people, if ya hear a honk or a m1a2 tank engine, look around and make sure you arent about to be run over. You people are driving my already high insurance rates through the roof.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't think about this very much, but after rereading your post twice I realized that running in front of a 68 ton tank going at full speed probably isn't a good idea! This has changed the way I played Battlefield 2, and for the better!

Personally I play chicken with tanks, all the while running from Bommando and denying him his med packs. Its a great fun way to play chicken, drop a med pack inches from where the tank will go, what will Bom do, greasy spot or nick of time!

Santa, driving full speed into the warehouse that 20 people on our team had just retaken together probably wasn't the best idea either

. That said, there was a pretty ridiculous amount of people getting run over last night on Karkand.

That round was just silly.

Another note: The most dangerous place for you is next to or behind a tank. The first reaction of most tankers when they are being hit or painted is to pop smoke and back up. Why the hell would you stand behind a tank? You can't be firing on the enemy, since the tank is blocking your field of view. If you need cover, use a damn wall. Unless you have a wrench out or are inside them, pedestrians should stay away from vehicles. This is especially true for chokepoints like the Karkand bridge where vehicles must cross it quickly to stay alive.

This same bit'o advice also applies to those support troops that are prone and firing. If you see your friendly sipport troops laying down fire on the enemy, please don't run in front of them because you will die rather quickly and every time that happens an angel loses it's wings. Save the angels and watch were you are running!
