All TG Pilots who love dogfights sign this!!!

I believe that we have all missed the dogfights that we loved before 1.2 patch. By signing this, you will agree to:

- refrain from using Anti Air missiles and use Vulcans ONLY during dogfights
- using Vulcans on other jets even if they are using missiles on you

You do not have to sign this and will not be treat less equally if you use AA in the Jet because I know some of us are still new to jets. But for the portion who miss those 5 mins long dogfights, I believe this rule will bring back the dogfight that we loved in a new form which is without DV missiles. Hoping to cannon or get cannoned by some of you soon!

Meh, ive given up on flying in vanilla, but flying in tacmod has brought skill back to flying. Its really fun.

Why stop using the missles? They seem a lot better since the 1.21 patch, and you can still dodge them if you are good. This is, at least to me, saying that you won't use the tank shells, and only use the tank gun. You can do this, but that doesn't make much sense.

As for tacmod, that is some fun flying .

Maybe I should put this is a poll, but do you guys want me to take the air-to-air missiles out with a server-side mod? Tweaking their accuracy would be a bit of a pain, but I could just remove them fairly easily and give you full dogfighting glory again.

DO IT. Make a poll first of course, but i would be very surprised if any pilot actually wants the air-to-air missiles in.

i dont think its a good idea for us ground pounders. Ed died 5 times and had like 75 kills on Zatar with Air to air missles, what makes you think that number will go down? All this will do is have more people be bombed because it would be that hard to evade just bullets from another jet

Why am I in this... I think Icky ment that AA from jets will be taken out while ground anti air will be left as it is, meaning jets still have to be careful.

what are vulcans?? just the guns? I'm not too good as a pilot yet, I've been practicing.. I dunno if I'm good enough to not use the missles, but I'll just wait and see what everyone else thinks.

Though, it seems to me that I'm always shot down by the gun and not the missle..

Why not just remove the jets all together?

#1-Is it possible to revert jet missles (not AA or stingers) back to pre-1.2? They were great if you knew how to use them correctly.

#2- Can you change all F-35s into F-18s server side? If you can, I would say do that and see what comes of it. With 1.2, the F-35 is so unbalanced it's not funny. Because all you have to do is get behind your opponent for 3 secs and missle spam and the F-35 can neither keep up with or lose the other planes. This would be my ideal fix for the moment as it should balance the air war nicely.

I do have to say that removing the jet missles completely is not the answer. It will just make people less likely to actually get into dogfights and just concentrate bombing.

agreed. dogfighting might be fun, but that means that jets stay in the air longer, which means that us ground pounders get bombed waaaayy to often than it already is.

edit: Actually nm it would just make jets and bombers more powerful. I wouldn't have a problem with removing bombs actually, if the air-air missiles are removed too. Fighters would be able to focus on choppers and other jets, and can still kill vehicles and tanks easily with 1-2 passes of gunfire. Bombers would keep laser-guided. The 5 bombs are pretty retarded anyway.
