Smile Euro Booster, Server Plan

Now when the booster has actually been released.

Can we install this on Server 1.

As these are offical maps and would blend into the game seamlessly. I think personally it would make sense to add it to get some new content and refresh BF2. Specially now when we will loose people to RO.

I know that some people dont like to pay the 10 bucks, but 10 bucks is not much to get a few more offical infantry maps which we all love. And it will attract more people.

And registered members pay that much every month just to play and support this great community.

I dont remember if we have decided on this.

Maybe we can add the maps to the rotation for 3 days a week to begin with.

Its probably worth a poll to see how many people picked up the booster. My unofficial tally is that not many did and thus when these maps load the server may risk dropping substantial population.

Re: Euro Booster, Server Plan

Here lies the problem. If we were to put them on server one the people who have not bought the pack will get kicked and not be able to play. We are discussing this among us admin's on how we are going to do this. In order for all of us to enjoy it on server 1 everyone needs to buy it. Not everyone is willing to part with the money. More to come.

Re: Euro Booster, Server Plan

Think about our experiments with FREE custom maps in the past.. People just don't take the time to read the forums and download the maps and end up getting dropped. Sure, we could just say too bad, but the server dropping from 64 to 20 isn't for anyone.

Re: Euro Booster, Server Plan

I don't mind paying for a couple more maps. The problem is, even if 70% of the TG regulars followed suit, the server would still take a big hit in attendance. If Euro Foce is put on the server would it still allow players without the booster pack to play the standard BF2 maps when they come up in the rotation? If that's the case then maybe attendance won't be that bad, but you'd still see a big drop when a Euro map comes up.

EA just should have done the right thing and given us a few more maps.
