BF2 Join Squad Bug?

Have any of you ever had the problem of not being able to leave a squad and/or not having the ability to give squad orders even though you are the squad leader? It's happened to me before, but I did not give it much though, but it happened again earlier today. Very strange.

I've had some weird bugs with Squads, but not like you're having. I've seen not being able to join existing squad at all, which is a pain when you play in a server enforcing that.

And I've also seen no squads showing up, and being unable to create one.

I had that problem earlier or yesterday can't remember where I quit out of a squad then tried to rejoin another squad and wasn't able to. None of the buttons would work!

I ran into that once. Very annoying. Had to reconnect to the server to make the problem go away.

Most of these are related to the IFF bug. The server thinks you are on one team, but your client thinks you are on the other.

yeah, had that happen tonight to me - and to another person in my squad.

And yep, it's definitely a server/client mismatch that causes it.

for what it's worth - it seems to happen waaaaaay more often on servers that implement alternate-round team switching...
