mid-air messaging

Ok, I'm a geek. Always have been, always will be. So you KNOW it's bad when *I* laugh at a technology and say "wow.. that is USELESS."

Tell me that doesn't just make you roll your eyes and laugh.

Re: mid-air messaging

wow.

Useless for as cellphone, sure, but I would LOVE to have one of these on my car/bike.

Easily tell folks "please don't tailgate" or "your tail-lights are out" without screaming pantomimes out a window @ 65mph..

What's gonna crack me up is when people can crack the devices and make other people's phones display messages ..

Re: mid-air messaging

Yet another reason to ban drivers using cell phones while the car is in motion.

But then, I think about half the people in the US shouldn't have qualified for their licenses anyway.

Probably including me, and I've never even been in an accident.

... so how would you use it on a bike? Attach it to a spastic metronome?

Re: mid-air messaging

They have had these things for years. Only difference is that they are on phones now, useless yes but will most likely be very popular for the young ones. Just like color displays, No need and you cant forget games on a cell phone........Play them for a first couple weeks you get the phone and whenever you so bored that your druling.

Yeah, I used to have a clock that worked like this. The LEDs were on a metronome-like device...

Re: mid-air messaging

I think its a pretty good gimmick. I wouldn't pay money for it, but I would like it if I was given it.

Re: mid-air messaging

You guys are nuts.... this WILL sell.

The US sold millions of the twisty handles that spelled out when you spun them around and around. Saw them at clubs, night life venues, and night time sports events.

The cool thing about this twist on the cellphone is you can give someone your number without have to yell it to them. Ever wanted to give that hot chick on the highway your # but couldn't because she was in front of you??

Well, TAAAAHDAAAAA!
