I've never worn glasses, but this looks like an interesting low-cost option for people who are considering laser vision correction. I don't see a downside as long as you read all of the instructions carefully before you perform the procedure.

Re: Lasik@Home
Heh, this is pretty sweet.
Just means that laser surgery at a doctor (or similar) will be more affordable. Thanks, cooky gadget inventors!

Re: Lasik@Home
I was surprised at how affording Lasik is.. I thought it was up on the $10,000 range, but a lady I worked with had it done in January and she said it was only around $700 and was back at work the next day. Insurance didn't cover it, but that sounds relatively affordable for a medical procedure.

Re: Lasik@Home
my mom had it done and it was around 1200 total and would have been around 1000 for me to get it because she did.
Yeah i like the doctor with glasses, the FDA has not approved yet thing. And by the looks of it you could probably hook some beaters up to it and make mashed potatoes too.

Re: Lasik@Home
Don't get me wrong, I ain't gettin one of those anywhere NEAR my face.
I am just sayin', this product is simply an indictation that the technology has become sufficiently easy to make. Pretty soon, the procedure will become truly commonplace. Once insurance starts covering it, then we know glasses have become a luxury.
