Pickle's "Wall of Walnut"

My cluttered desk/armoire below was driving me nuts.

Hey, I have more room and a everyone knows I am totally flush with cash....NOT. Why not make an improvement.

So I decide to commission "The Wall of Walnut". Yes it is made of Walnut. Last seen 1970's.

The most of it I could get in one shot

Two file drawers medical office style. Legal size. I am able to keep all my files here plus my genealogy.

I was able to hide all my electronics here. Even my modem and wireless modem. Scanner isn't hooked up yet though.

Still need to get glass in the doors on the upper right. I am thinking smoked/tinted. I have been looking for an antique mesh but haven't been able to find it.

Where's my keyboard?

There it is!

[/center]

Please note the gratuitous shot of TG on the screen.

Wow! That is very sweet!

I would love to have something like that in my house, but I don't think I'll be able to afford it until I win the lotto.

Who needs the Lotto when you have a brother in law that just started his own woodworking business and needs work?

Wow, that's a very nice piece of furniture.. and I kinda feel bad calling it furniture. It's almost an addition to the house with the cutout for the electric socket and all.

Jeez, that's gigantic! The space around your monitor is about as much free space as I have on this entire desk here

Re: Pickle's "Wall of Walnut"

Nice, you should get 2 more monitors to go on the side and go for some serious widescreen gaming

Yeah, seriously...is that a $15k desk with a cheesy 15" LCD? You really should get a 24" LCD with what you saved on the cost of that desk

Shoot.. there's space for a 42" plasma in there!

I hope you like that house, because I don't think your b-i-l will ever let you move

Re: Pickle's "Wall of Walnut"

I'll have one too please. It will work quite nicely with my basement decor.

Re: Pickle's "Wall of Walnut"

I would kill to have a desk like that. Heck, I'd kill to have a house to put something like that in.

Very nice man.
