Dystopia Night - Training
Dystopia Night Tonight! Come and infuse yourself in the world of Cyberpunk!
This evening, Monday April 17th, and Thursday evening (April 20th) TG Dystopia will be having a training/introduction session for all who are interested in trying out this very well put together Half Life 2 Modification. Available for FREE download, providing you have Half Life 2, at www.dystopia-game.com/downloads, Dystopia pulls you into a mid 21st century world that has effectively become...a Dystopia. Corporate entities, with their mercenary squads dubbed Corps, control the political, economic, and social functions of society. Renegade groups of hackers, generalized as Punks, have become the only force in their Dystopia capable of bringing down the corporate hegemony that controls the lives of it's populace. To accomplish their goals, the Punks have used their hacking abilities to commendeer shipments from advanced weapons labs, human augmentation facilities, and prototype bio-enhancement complexes controlled by the corporate entities.Fighting at multiple installations throughout the world, the Punks fight in the hope that they will prevail in bringing down the Corps who stand in their way, so that the corporations will fall and, along with them, the Dystopia that they have so craftily engineered. Equipped with the same weaponry, armor, and implants that the corporate forces provide their Corps, the Punks have begun their assault, engaging the Corps head on at the DataTrust headquarters, missile silos, communication facilities, and data storage fortresses. The First Uprising of the Anti-Corporate War has begun, The DataTrust Corporation must be destroyed. Featuring 3 different player classes, 9 devestating weapons, 3 types of grenades, katana swords, machine pistols, 10 unique implants (i.e. thermal vision, cloaking, sound wave triangulator), and a 3D cyberspace world where hackers must duel for control of real world electronic subsystems, Dystopia offers unique and extremely varying gampelay based around the accomplishing of objectives. Objectives range from the destruction of storage servers to hacking a cloning lab to clone allied reinforcements, so the gameplay is always being changed by the addition of a new map with completely unique objectives dreamed up by the creator. Dystopia is simply like taking CS:S loadout diversity, NS teamwork, and DoD objective gameplay and smashing it all together with a massive cyberpunk hammer. If you are drooling right now, get right on over to the site and download this fantastic MOD and join us tonight as we explain in detail all of it's goodies and show you why this game is one of the most unique you will ever play. Check out the forums for more information and, possibly, the password! - Thanks to Zephyr for this write-up Stop by anytime to learn how to play this awesome mod.

Re: Dystopia Night - Training
Anyone show up? I would have been there except Dystopia isn't a game that I enjoy. Maybe if there weren't enough teachers or anything I'll come on the 20th.

Re: Dystopia Night - Training
We had a few. Some members, and a few pubs. It wasn't to organized, but I'm fixing that for next time. Thursday, I plan to lock the server at around 5:30 pm and post the password in the Dystopia General Discussion forum.
This time around: we'll have all-talk on and have enough regs on (actually, we had a lot of regs on last night) to answer any questions new players may have. EDIT: Reference this post for the password.

Re: Dystopia Night - Training
It was fun and started with the training of a new player. Eventually we had a full server and we didn't really try to enforce the training, just letting people play, although there wasn't much resistence to the training at first so we're attracting some nice players I believe.
Team work still needs to be given alittle bit of a nudge but I think the regs and the members are starting to get into a flow. Funny how many people don't realize FF is on untill they nuke a buddy. |
