LGB and 2 Targets

Here's what ya gotta do:

Locate your primary and secondary targets. They should be as close together as possible to have any chance of succussfully destroying both. You should also have plenty of altitude.

Slew your targeting pod cursor over the primary target. Do not lock up the target, otherwise it will be harder for you to designate the second target. Just slew the TGP designator over the first target and keep it there. When in range, press the pickle and start counting. (One Mississippi... Two Mississippi...) After about five Mississippi's, drop your second LGB.

Keep your TGP slewed over the first target until your first LGB impacts it. As soon as it does, slew the cursor over the second target. You have to do this quick, you only have about five seconds until impact, and realisticly you have less time than that because your second LGB has been heading toward the first target and needs time to redirect toward the second target.

Keep the designator over the second target until the second LGB impacts it. With luck, you will have destroyed two targets and have one big shiit-eating grin on your face.

For best results, use manual lasing and keep lasing from the time you drop the first LGB until the second one impacts. Also keep in mind that some targets require a pair of LGB's to destroy, so even if you hit both targets you might not destroy either of them.

This sounds very challenging and also like something I wanna try! Wolf get with me on TS and hlep me figure out the manual lasing I have never tried it before. We should test this out and see how well it works.

RGR I will amke a TE I need a new LGB one anyway.....

It works... I've done it... the only thing I would modify on that is to allow more than 5 seconds before releasing the second LGB.... that just isn't enuf time so slew the cursor and have the second bomb adjust its flight path.... 15 seconds seems to work better... but that can vary too...

There was a time (back in 2003) when 6 hits on one pass was possible...... in theory it should still work but Falcon versions since then have taken away that precision... not sure why....

Short answer... ripple 2.

At altitude your window to drop in is fairly huge... Manual lase from 25000 at slow speed... ripple 3 max spacing... wait a few seconds... ripple next 3.... even though I've past the optimal drop point for the last 3, the fact that the laser is already firing brings them back in line.... at least that was the working theory in 2003 when it worked.

Back then you could watch the ACMI internal view of the last LGB and you would see it change it's tracking as I would switch from one target to the next... these days LGBs don't behave the same way... no idea which is more realistic.

Is there a way to get the cursor to move faster? It seems terribly slow to me.
