Desktop Appearance Issue and more....

Hey all,

I did a fresh install of Windows after upgrading my Power Supply and Motherboard to try to figure out why my computer was crashing with 2 GB of RAM in it but not crashing with 512 mb ... that is still going on ... and I am pulling my hair out ....

Anyway, on a different note,

After this fresh install, I notice that the FONTS in my OUTLOOK EXPRESS and in my INTERNET EXPLORER / FIREFOX look a little blurry.

Is there some way to correct this ?

Also, I noticed that If i receive an e-mail with a link in it ... when I click on it .. nothing happens or I click on it and then a WINDOWS EXPLORER box pops=up with the Desktop icons in it...

Any guess on that one as well ???

Hello. I suggest you install window again, but first run memtest on each dimm with 512 individualy. Maybe one of the ram modules is bad. Your windows may of installed incorectly with the bad mem.
What are your sytem specs:cpu MB GPU Ram.... . Have you installed All the drivers? Is your bios up to date, Flashed?

As for for your fonts I'm not sure maybe drivers, or try right clicking on the desktop goto properties, apperance.

Thirdly, I've seen this happen before but I don't know why it happens.

Did ClearType get turned on/off? It can sometimes make the fonts appear blurry depending on your eyes and monitor.
