Question The ultimate Pub Raid

greetings fellow junior space cadets.

I have been hearing a lot about pub raiding. this intrigues me. There even is a teamspeak channel for such operations.

I have never pub raided with a TG crew. What is the protocal?

I was wondering if TG gets together for sheduled pub raids. Example: Find a known clan server that is compitiive and makes outsiders switch to the other team (most often the MEC/PLA team).

when i first bought the game and went on line i found a server called Brothers of War. I am convinced that they forced outsiders against them. the MEC/PLA never won a single game. Sometimes things were closer, but many times they would swarm into our UCB and kill the lot of us.

I just used them for an example, not that i want revenge or anything.

I think it would be tight to have a hand picked platoon by the senior officers to make somthing like this happen.

Things would sort of suck with the way the enemy would play, but I'm sure the All star Platoon would get the job done the TG way.
Heck we could have one person text message every now and again the TG website and all for a recruitment drive of sorts.

Please give me feedback if this has been done before or if anyone would think this would be fun stuff perhaps worth the time and effort.

Thanks Champs.

Re: The ultimate Pub Raid

As to the normal pub raid protocol, you just jump onto TeamSpeak, see who's there, and ask them where they are. Or, you can do searches for TG tags on player search enginers, like www.game-monitor.com or www.serverspy.net. Once you get on the server, you just try your best to make your way onto the same team and join up in a squad. Sometimes, it takes some effort, but make sure to pipe up on TeamSpeak that you're coming or else you might not get invited into the occasional locked TG squad.

So, the usual bouts aren't anything formal at all. Usually, it just consists of a couple of bored people who can't wait till TG gets populated to play. During Euro-friendly hours, I've seen us fill two+ squads of TG. As for having a formal, organized pub raid, something about that just seems to stray too far from The Path.

Re: The ultimate Pub Raid

Yeah just get on Team Speak Pub Raid channel when you see people on it and ask "Hey where you guys playing?"

I've been on several Pub Raids sometimes just a couple of us and sometimes we can field two whole squads. Getting everyone together on the same side is very hard alot of the times so we sometimes have a TG squad on USMC and one on teh OPFOR side.

Then it's wild wild west buddy !! LOL

Team Speak really helps alot. You can ask to be invited in the squad etc..

Any questions just PM me Rick

Re: The ultimate Pub Raid

As already said just talk to whoever is on the teamspeak channel or plan B is look up on www.game-monitor.com

The reality is that everyone would prefer a half busy ser 1
pub raiding is only really popular when ser 1 is empty
ie
euro friendly hrs (before server 1 fills)
west coast late night (after server 1 empties)

edit : one of the best things about pub raiding is a finding a random pubbie who has a mic and likes to play as a team
