Tag bug - What do you?
I remember a few times where a hostile appeared to be not only friendly (blue tag bug) but in my squad. He even appears in the squad members list when I hit Caps Lock. Obviously, this basically means is that I can see his dot on the minimap, in that bright green color.
Because of my 1986 PC, I dread the loading times and just keep on playing. While I do not call out his position even though I can clearly see him, (don't want to exploit) I cant help but feel a bit guilty for not logging out and reconnecting. What are your thoughts on this, and am I the only one this happens to? ![]() |

Re: Tag bug - What do you?
I remember once an enemy SL kept showing up friendly at least to me. I don't know if other people saw them as friendly, but I assumed they did since my teammates didn't shoot at them. They were in the middle of a base we were defending and I couldn't figure out how they kept coming back since the UAV was clear. That is, up until I got close enough to see they were in a different uniform

Re: Tag bug - What do you?
I find the uniforms are much easier to distinguish than waiting for a tag to pop up. Only at extreme ranges do I need tags to tell apart friend and foe. Even then, all I can do is spot them unless I've got an M24.
The only time the tag bug really affects me is when I run around a corner expecting an enemy and see a friendly with a red tag (then they usually get blasted) or when I see an enemy's blue tag through a wall and dismiss it as a friendly only to be shot in the back.

I had the tag bug, i think, once or twice; at close range learn to tell with uniforms is really the way to go. I know DICE has made another attempt to fix it in 1.4, keep your fingers crossed.

Re: Tag bug - What do you?
I can't ever remember experiancing a bug with wrong tags and all.
Last night on the Tac Mod a friendly had nothing over their head and they were 20 feet away!!! it was very odd.
