Lost my touch

I haven't been on for more than about 10 minutes at a time in the last 2 weeks or so and DANG I've lost whatever twitch I had. I got owned by Santa tonight about a dozen times in 5 minutes. If ya'll don't see me for a while I'll be pub raiding to pick my skills back up. Not that they were that good to begin with.........

Re: Lost my touch

as u were Marine.

pub raid is know way to devolp twitch. TG servers is were u develop twitch.

Plus, the added extras of having five other guns set on automatic helping u out helps out. Stick around and work on your team skills, that is more important. Maybe Santa's teammate wounded u something teriable and he finished u off.
Plus it is santa, he is like one of the top 10 best players on the server.

If u do decide to go Pub, work on your kit selection. Get to know every kit so when your SL needs one, you will come through like a champ.

Pub raid would be like the time Kramer was practcing martial arts with little kids. (Seinfield joke) U can't learn anything from that. And in the end, the kids jumped him as a team in the alley way, right.

On the job training is always the best way to go.

P.S. On weekends we have Irr practice. I am making a lecture know on kits (vanillia and Tac), squad formations, becoming better squad Mem; and Squad Leaders; keyboard set ups;

Start coming to these practices, it may just save your life.
Ow, i almost forgot, I am trying to get Santa, mantis, sordavie, and Bodo to make a quest apperance for target practice. We need to find out at what range the shot gun is effective. Lets cross our fingers they are interested.

Lol...it could be worse- you could be like clawhammer and not have any skills from the start lol. Just kidding. I've seen you in action Backlash and you're not bad bro- you probably just had an off night. By the way Rick (not that I take any offense to your post, but...)- you shouldn't knock pub raiding- it continues to be a team building tool for the guys and gals that get on too late or before the TG server picks up. Pub raiding w/ TG members is a fun way to build commradre and to show other servers how we do it in TG land. It's also a good way for us to continue recruiting more people and in some cases just as fun as playing on the TG server since our guys carry over TG values into pub matches (especially when Clawhammer or CarRamRod SL's- they don't take prisoners). So with that said, if you find the server dead and still feel the need to play, hop on TS and join us. You'll more than likely see enough people to form almost two squads nightly.

I agree. Lately pub raids have been growing on me immensely. It's great fun dispatching some TG style whoopings out there.

Re: Lost my touch

I don't have many unlocks, so I find myself getting owned a lot more on pubs than here at TG

Re: Lost my touch

The AK's still rock no matter what. Just played a SF round and owned hardcore medic+ak101 = coolness.

Re: Lost my touch

Yeah the unlocks really are not necessary. The only place you really see an advantage with them is when they fill in gaps with weaker weapons, such as the M249 and PLA support kit. I also find the G36 basic unlock quite rediculously good.

Re: Lost my touch

I've found that I still prefer the standard weapons over the unlocks, except for the spec ops kit and the L96 sniper rifle (which is just stupid accurate). Maybe it's just because I've used nothing but the normal weapons for the last year. I'll take the m16 over the medic and assault unlocks anyday. Although now that I think about it the G3 is pretty fun.

It's hilarious how if you just fire a shot in the general direction of somebody they immediately start jumping all over the place. It's very satisfying when you just sit back and time the shots just right and take them out anyway, then you run up and give them a "no way" over the commo-rose. Best memory so far is getting the "hat trick" one night on Sharqi. Three guys were right in front of me at the construction site, I emptied my clip on one, knifed the second and when I was about to revive a teammate I noticed the 3rd guy and shock paddled him while he was trying to revive the two guys I just killed. Oh yeah and you can bet I let out a "now way man" on that one.

Re: Lost my touch

Theres no shame in getting shot up by Santa, many of us do, thats why theres $25,000,000 on his head

If you were to pub raid alone to develop twitch skills then this is the place
DDD Infantry only Custom v0.2 85.10.201.171:18567 German server
These guys are the king of the twitch, and if you played with them youre twitch would return with avengeance

I'm not sure if its ranked, so be careful not to wear your TG tag as infantry only is against EA ROE

Re: Lost my touch

Good points NarCAl. My point of view is differnt, and my training background is differnt.

Pre TG, the servers i was on were garbage, pure garbage. I almost gave up on the BF2 game before TG. So my past dictates my present out look on pub servers.
I just don't recommend it. However, i am not fimiliar with other good servers, so i have never experinced them. I would most likely change my mind if i experienced some good ones out side TG.

Training background: When i bought my P.C. and later game i did not have the internet. I used this time to get a feel for the controls i decided on, each kit, vehicle, jet, armour, chopper, SL poistion, and C.O. I sucked when i first got online (things moved much much faster on line); but i soon got a feel for the game. I felt like TG prvided this quickening.

I was under the impression Backlash was going to go out by himself to a pub server in the land of choas were no one has your back. I did not know how others played a lot on the pubs prior to TG server 1 picking up later in the evening.

Nice tip Shiner, thanks.

Re: Lost my touch

It's ok, Rick! No need to apologize or explain anything. Some of us (especially bored school-aged folks and the Europeans) have free-time during non-primetime hours and have to go somewhere to get the BF2 fix. Besides, no one takes NorCal seriously anyways
