WED 7/12 Daqing and Beyond AAR

After a tough fought round of Sharqi I inherited the squad and no sooner had I loaded up was I receiving kit requests. Though I have been playing for a little less than a year I have just gotten into squadleading so I took on the role. The Chinese started out with no commander so me and my squad (Oakefol and EvilJevon at that point) moved to secure the Powerstation as the rest of the team was moving East. While awaiting the immending USMC strikes Duke and Killermichael joined up just as things were heating up. The fighting turned frantic as the opposing squad(s) seemed to sneak around to the north as we were busy combating armor from the south, airstrikes, the occasional attack chopper run and some artillery bursts. The Powerstation changed hands a number of times as neither side would surrender the position easily. If we were playing tacmod the ground would have been littered with burning tanks, linebackers and jeeps.

During one of our last buildups for asasult EvilJevon volunteered himself to command and Basetrip soon joined our ranks to fill in the empty slot. We finally wrestled Powerstation from the USMC but could not make ourselves comfortable as we had orders to assault the Oil Cisterns. We went in 4 strong as Killermichael and Basetrip were helping out at the Refinery. Again, like powerstation neither side could hold the CP for any real extended period of time. At one point Duke was somehow holding the flag at neutral by himself as the rest of the squad rushed to reinforce him. We finally gained control and were able to hold the point just long enough to outlast the USMC 5-0 I believe. I died a bit much for a SL (15) and even had one of the guys point out that I probably shouldnt be helping out capping the flag. Duke finished with 41 kills and 5 flag defends. I would to commend my squad for an excellent effort, winning and losing the same flag can be frustrating but they stuck with it and we prevailed. I also received my first Top Squad as a SL and though its not much of a big deal I would still like to thank these guys as it is really the other 5 guys that do the dirty work.

Re: WED 7/12 Daqing and Beyond AAR

Daqing was a great round! Chinese were down most of the game, but finally got bleed and then overcame about a 100 ticket deficit to end up winning 4-0!

Once again, I had a great squad. Santa, Twisted, Hamburgler, and Dirty all did fantastic jobs as we defended multiple flags and were constantly trying to take that extra flag to maintain bleed. That is a perfect 32 player map -- still very exciting, and there were no bombers to dominate the game.
