What do you BF2142 hopes & dreams ?

What are your BF2142 hopes & dreams ?

Mine are;

1) A full BF server again, night after night
2) Team play in squads becomes far more common on pubbies, due to the design of the game
3) More accurate weapons
4) New squad leading challenges
5) Santa's & Robo's dog-tags...and all the admins for that matter

And there will be teamplay no matter what, this is TG after all...it is good news though that theyre trying even harder to make teamplay more important.

I have no feeling on this game at all, and I will tell you why:no matter what incremental benefits EA/DICE decide to roll out, we already have our own superlative teamwork and mod for a game that is ostensibly similar to BF2142.

It stikes me as we are in the midst of another BF1942/BFV moment.

I don't see why not. Its bascially a reskinned BF2. I heard that there will be some kind of a deal from EA for current BF2 owners, if they pre-order the game. If it turns out to be a good deal, I will pre-order it.

I'm not sure this is bfv (which i liked well enough for the music anyway). They have added a really unique gamemode in the "Titan" setting. If this mode plays as well as the previews have indicated that alone will generate a lot of interest in a community more inclined to use tactics and strategy.

I would imagine given some level of adoption by the community a TacMod2142 isn't out of the question.

I pretty much agree with what you said. I'd like to add,

6) Just hope titan mode is as promising as its looking/sounding so far.
7) I hope the balancing issues are 100% at least 95% at launch


I will be getting this game, whether TG supports it or not, just for my own preference. There will be possibly a few servers that support some of the basic rules that TG does, which is nice, especially the squad/voip only rule.

My hope is that the weapons unlocks aren't dependent on a ranking system. With this many unlocks, it would be a shame for us to be stuck with the starting 4 because we might not have a ranked server. Who knows, maybe we will be able to have our unlocks and tactics at the same time, but if we don't get a ranked server it could be very boring.

I don't see TG ever being ranked, even for this game. Sad thing is, you won't be able to revive people, since the defibs are unlocks.

bottom line - if we dont go ranked, its gonna force me to play on a different server unfortunately. It sucks cuz i love playin with all you guys but its not going to take off on TG unless its ranked, plain and simple. I doubt we will too but i think theres a a semi decent chance, who knows. The thread for this in the admin sections prolly on page 23 by now. I dont want to step over my bounds so ill keep my mouth shut about it.

The biggest reason for not going ranked in BF2 was because we wouldnt get our custom script that kicks for not being in a squad and our admins wouldnt quite have the control theyd like. Hopefully they give more leeway for admins for ranked servers in 2142 so that we can run our own custom scripts without EA delisting us. I kinda hope they just scrub the whole "ranked" servers idea, and just have every server give you the ability to get unlocks. I mean seriously, who gives a flying **** that you're ranked 123,956 in all of BF?
