For those of you that have not been exposed to Red Orchestra Ostfront 41-45, Tripwire Interactive and Valve are giving you an opportunity to take the game for a test drive August 2-August 7, 2006.
Tactical Gamer Game Club will kick off the trial period with a Call To Arms. On Wednesday August 2, the Tactical Gamer Game Club will be taking all comers on Tactical Gamer Red Orchestra server. Game time is 8:30PM EST, and will run as long as there are players. For server information, read the following Thread. Make sure you are also up to speed on the SOPs. For those of you that need convincing, more information about the game and the trial is available at: http://www.redorchestragame.com/ Hope to see you there! |

Excellent. I'll do my best to be there on Wednesday. Now I just need to figure out how to ditch the woman.

Re: Tactical Gamer Game Club Kicks Off The Free Red Orchestra Trial Period
I somehow deleted Steam off my machine but when I read this thread it inspired me to re-download the game Sunday afternoon. I ended up playing the "new" map (don't know how new) consisting of trenches and bunkers on SP for the couple of hours leading up to BF2 TacMod. I forgot how fun the game can be (though I still ended up getting "stuck" in a trench wall and couldn't move, grrrrrrrr!!) and how the grenades in RO are hands down the coolest in any game out there...
I'm going to have the same problem as asch in getting the li'l lady off my back to play Wednesday, but I'll try...lord knows I'll try... In the meantime I need to remap the keys. Some of the default settings are pretty bizarre. Pick up weapon = " / " Whaaaaaaa....??? |
