Re: spyware HELP

I find that using Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware, and Windows Defender keeps me spyware free.

Re: spyware HELP

Do you already have something? If so, you can find specific methods of killing it.

Ewido security suite is a good program and Spybot. Look into Spysweeper also but I don't think it is free

I belive you can still get a free version of spysweeper but it will only scan and detect, not remove, so it is almost pointless. The commercial version is very good but I prefer to roll for free...

yeah, ewido's great... another great little app is killbox. (Download Pocket KillBox 2.0.0.648)
It lets you end running tasks and delete executables that windows won't allow you to. It also has a "reboot-delete" function, that deletes the file before the OS runs it - handy for those self-replicating POS files you can never seem to get rid of....

and yeah - if there's something specific that's happening, there's usually a specific "recipe" you can find on how to clear it out - just searching for words in your popups will usually lead you somewhere good....
