Re: So...

Try downloading it from the members section. Not to sound stupid but did you put in the password?

Re: So...

Maybe it is something to do with the version of zip you are using? It shouldn't be, but maybe it is. I got mine from Bittorrent and I used WinRar to decompress it.

Re: So...

Well so far one of two things happens..I've downloaded from TG(and yes I used the password), Filecloud, Filefront, and Bottorrent. When I extract it'll either say it's corrupted or the .exe will delete itself when its opened. Winrar 3.60 Beta 7 is what I've been using.

Re: So...

WinXP's native .ZIP extractor worked fine for me. It took awhile so it DID seem as if it hung, but it worked. I got the file from the member's section here, BTW.

Re: So...

Make sure to extract both files from the zip archive first to the same folder (I used desktop). Then run the executable. You shouldn't have to touch the .rar archive, just the .exe file.

Re: So...

Alright, I'm about to pull my hair out here. 24 seperate downloads. I finally get one that will extract to the desktop without giving any sort of error.....but when I try to run the installer it gives the hourglass for about 2 seconds and then the ^#$@&%& file disappears.

Re: So...

Thats a bummer HW...I'm sorry I can't help figure it out. Hopefully one of the TG techies will see this and point you in the right direction...

Is there any support offered from the POE developers?

Re: So...

Sucks man. This is definitely your computer though - no sense contacting the PoE developers.

I have no clue how the file could 'delete' itself as you say, and I'm a computer guy.

I would look into your Anti Virus stuff. It is probably trying to scan the file as you unzip it/run it. Turn everything off then try it.

Re: So...

Way ahead of ya on that, I've shut off every security program I have, even Stopzilla. Still doing it.

This is pretty much a clean hard drive too, I just reformatted last week.

P.S.

It is only the .exe file that is disappearing, the cab archive is staying.

Ok, next up is to safe boot then try to unzip the file.

hit F8 as it says starting windows ----> select safe mode and attempt to unzip the file.

Re: So...

This is crazy.. The .exe is disappearing? You are sure it is there? You are sure you have unzipped the file?

Sorry if those are stupid questions.. I'm stumped!
