I can't create an account

Been trying for 2 days and each time I click register, it says the page is unavailable. Can someone else try for me please and tell me if they can get through ok? I can access the home page ok at www.americasarmy.com, just the damn register page doesn't work - which is kind of needed lol.

I just installed AA last night. I tried last night and this morning. I get the same thing you get.

They've been having some serious account management problems. I haven't been able to log in to my account on the site, and I can't join official/honor servers (they require authentication). I lost my Medic training that I did this past weekend... it didn't stick for some reason. Had to redo it, and fortunately it stuck. But since then, and one day of unhindered access to official/honor servers, I've been left twisting in the breeze. And I'm not the only one, either. Connecting to unofficial servers, namely TG's is no problem. Only problem is you can't earn honor there since it requires no authentication. Good for practice, but not much else.

But that's no good if their outage won't even let you create an account.

Don't know what to tell you Jex. I can definitely say this, though. The unmatched realism of this *FREE* game is well worth these hiccups, in my opinion. This baby is the only true sim in the shooter genre, and I'll take it, lumps and all. Keep trying... would be fantastic having more TG in a squad.

They have been doing a massive auth upgrade over the past 2 days. It *SHOULD* be done tonight though, so things should start working again.

Yesterday morning I was 72 points from my next honor level. After playing yesterday and getting ~800 points I ended up 400 points from the same next honor level. So I hope they fix it damn soon!

As you know, over the last several weeks, the Authorization system and the Login system have been under considerable strain as the game continues to grow and put additional stress on the database. Over the last couple of weeks, the auth system has been up and down and we apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience. During those last two weeks, SCI, with the Army team’s assistance, has migrated the entire Auth system over to a much more powerful and stable system that was built to handle the increased load. You should find that the Auth system will run much more smoothly than in recent days.

As of right now it looks like the Auth Servers are back. I just registered an account.

Looks like they're still having problems with accounts. Lot's of griping going on in the forums. I can't create an account either it seems.

I went back and read the in game support and they have several characters that are prohibited in user names (<>*\/|:?"), but if you try and use these characters to create an account there is no error screen it just looks like you've registered (if you've never seen the regristration screen).

I went back and changed my name and it worked fine: TG_Squid-TPF
