9/3 POE, Germans

The Germans took a well deserved drubbing tonight as the Ukranians operated with a better strategy. The Ukranians did something that I thought was REALLY unique. They defended flags that they captured and didn't concentrate their entire team to attack 1 flag. We weren't allowed to do that and on every rush we abandoned a flag (under orders) that flag would fall behind us.

Note: In the picture above, every squad on attack and no one defending that powerstation flag. We weren't really supposed to be defending the Railway Depot, however, there always was a stream of 1-2 guys moving in. Our defense of that flag was much to the CO's displeasure as we were constantly supposed to be on the move. Squad 2 was on their way to the docks and we were always supposed to be attacking some far off flag that would take us 5 minutes to make it to. That kind of strategy of attacking every flag weakly while holding none is the only reason why the Ukranians picked up the majority of the armor and pounded the Germans round after round.

I do want to thank those who hit my squad over the course of the night as it was a pleasure to serve with you. Pjaronex, GreatNardini, B33FMoreGooder, BarracudaMagoo, Icky, DFG872, Thundeer, and S1ingB1ade. Thanks for the games.

Re: 9/3 POE, Germans

Learned somethings on the Battlefiled.

If your CB is being hit by mobile arty, APCs, AA, Gunships, leave the flag.

Some may see this as raping but i do not. Sure it sucks, but just like in real life, either destroy the threat or retreat. U can't keep taking those kinds of causlites. Sadly this was being done while we were bleeding, so sucked even more.

I saw a lot of good players out there who did good and played well. Keep coming back. Try out our vanillia server, u may see me there soon.

In conclusion, when u are destroying the enemy 200 zip, pull the reigns in on the whole carnage thing here.

On a side note, Way too much rapeing with the big guns/ vehicles when/ and air when a team is down 200 points, with minutes to go.

For a infranty grunt, PoE2 was not kind to me tonight.

Re: 9/3 POE, Germans

Hm, was this around midnight on Sunday? If so, my squad stayed at the Docks for the whole 60 minutes. We never lost it - although we never saw any large coordinated assaults. Hopefully you guys weren't bored. I recall Jmaker, Gixxer, Emale, Maian, and .38special being in the squad; and Bleak replaced 38special and Tarma replaced Maian at some point.

That's probably not fair as I don't think the Ukranians were attacking non-stop. I think WE attacked non-stop and if we held 2 flags and massed the rest of our forces on a third flag we would have had a far better chance of winning. Instead, we left every flag we held. When our mass captured a flag, then we would abandon that one too. In the meantime, a single soldier in some cases would flip the flags back as we ordered to abandon them. There was no strong attempt to bleed the enemy by holding flags. So we were on attack (bleeding tickets) while not trying to hold the flags we owned (bleeding tickets). There were tons of examples tonight, but take a look at the map. What would have happened if we picked up any one of the three Ukranian flags? Someone on the Ukranian side would try a "Daring" run on the Power Station and would wrestle it from the German side. That knocks you back to 2 flags and back on attack. You win with bleed and that can only happen by capturing and keeping a majority of flags.

I have big shoulders, I can deal with it. It's not as if I get a lot of love from Santa anyway. Check out this comment he made seconds after I knifed him...

But you know what, I am ok with that!
