Weapons charts for PoE2 and other mods

http://shormanm.home.mchsi.com/bf2-chart.xls

Confirms what I thought about the VEPR being far superior to the assault gun on the german side. Also the Ukraine side seems to get a much better sniper rifle as well.

Re: Weapons charts for PoE2 and other mods

Yikes... Medic gun and spec ops gun do the same amount of damage as the VEPR?

Ukraine gets more powerful guns throughout. They are quasi balanced by their generally crappy sights/scopes though.

Looks like the Ukraine sniper and assault is undoubtedly better than the german counterpart though. While the engineer and support are undoubtedly better for the german side.

This might explain why I feel like superman in one gaming session and then the next day I feel like I am dying every time someone looks my way.

The default support guns are pretty much the same. The stats don't vary all that much to make one more superior to the other. The German support pickup MG-3 is more powerful, however you cannot resupply. I would rather have unlimited ammo than more bullet damage.

The stats don't vary that much but you get a scope with the german one, making it undoubtedly superior.

It's a scope, yes, but it's no sniper rifle. I havent found any real difference between the two guns and I've been playing support 98% of the time since the game has come out. You still have the effect of blocking your field of vision when using the scope so that is a con. But in terms of marksmanship, a real supporter can hit long range with either scope or iron sights. I can snipe long range just as well with the RPK on single shot.

Re: Weapons charts for PoE2 and other mods

In my experience so far:

Sniper - Ukraine by alot

Special Forces - not much experience

Assault - Ukraine by a long shot

Support - German because of the scope. It's almost a high ROF assault rifle with a bit lower accuracy

Medic - German. Again the scope is invaluable.

Engineer - Not much experience with either side. German seems to be more powerful though

Anittank - Can't really say much rocket wise. I'm biased towards German because i like the model more . MP7 also seems like a better gun to get you out of trouble.

The VEPR is by far the most effective infantry weapon in the game imo. Especially on a map like Fallen where the first few shots are critical.

Re: Weapons charts for PoE2 and other mods

When I get gunned down by a VERP, it's very frustrating. I would fully understand if it was balanced, even a little more powerful, but it is clearly more powerful and even more accurate than the SpecOps gun it seem like. Assault and Sniper are the 2 infantry killers and both go Ukraine by a long shot.

?

I guess I shouldn't have said "undoubtedly superior". I thought it was a widely held opinion that being able to zoom without your vision blocked was better than not zooming with your vision blocked. I see that it makes no difference to you, my B.

The VEPR is sick. On fallen I truly believe that the Ukraine team has an advantage.

Youre thinking of the german medic rifle my friend. The ukraine medic rifle only has iron sights.
