Titan shields resetting

Does anybody know what causes the Titan shields to be reset?
When attacking an enemy titan and suddenly everyone onboard gets ejected and the hull and shields go back to 100%. Is that a bug or is that some kind of weird game logic?

New MASSIVE bug

this new bug has been kindly introduced by Dice at the last client version, it was not there at the start of the beta

i played 20 mins tonight, had 2 server crashes and 1 titan respawn with full shields,
I'm fed up with the beta now, and I was so keen a few weeks ago when I was about to get access
I'm not going to play again until the demo comes out and the big bugs are gone

I'm not really playing anymore, I think I played enough of Verdun myself, the titan pop bug kinda turned me off, Its already fixed in a more updated build. If the demo is verdun, I probably won't be playing it, since you won't get unlocks, and it will be the same map over and over.

Someone on the forums said that you can exploiut it by throing grenades on your own titan, after a few it will blow up.

I'm guessing any explosive can cause it.

Grenades are fine to use on the titans...in the interest of bug hunting I've been playing the new beta version even with the crashes (it's a beta). This is still annecdotal, but I think it's usually caused by using demo packs on the titan in the right places. I know it's repeatable because I've ran into a few asshats that will blow up their own titan when they are about to lose.

I don't think grendaes alone will do it. I sat next to an ammo box last night and threw about 6 or 7 grenades in a row trying to defend my titan and nothing happened. I think it takes mutiple demo packs in the same place as I've seen people use 1 demo pack here and there to defend and it never crashes because of that.

That's weird, I posted that at school and it didn't seem to work...

Anyway, the guy posted a video and it worked, I think it said you needed to use 12 or something.

Yeh I've done my bug hunting and have passed the baton to others. Hopefully the final version will be "fixed" enough to be playable. I don't see how this game will be out in October.
