German team

Shot out to the New TG squad, and all the new faces that made it what it is.
I played earlier with some guys on Fallen and two snow maps and we had a gay time. Uhh.... Huck Finn gay, not modern gay... how do i edit this thing.
Grandpa
Mr. Blonov
others.
northLord
Taiwanesesteve
Drizzid
Sawviper
?? can't remember him.

Shot out to mantis for commanding twice in a row.

Shot out to the Roughnecks who made the Germans more of a kick ass team.

On the last match before the crash i felt like i was on TAc MOd. Besides a few Teen wolf hickups we were gold.
1=Jet= Azriel i believe, good stuff. I hope my constant attack icons were not too bad. I was trying to get u lined up, but u still need to fly the thing.
2) Troublesome4u. This squad did really well and the train yard. Good solid D and putting presure on th enemy.
3) Thundeer, usually backed up 4 and was crucial on putting presure on the enemy.
4) Roughnecks! YOur initial deployment had the big and talls hit the AA nest. We held it for some time. I faild to get the orders out for fire team support quick enough, so we lost it.
5 or 6) had the mobile arty but i did not know it until, I got a radio check. The poor bastard was out of amo. I hooked him up. Here i thougt u were a teen wolf.
7) or so become the attack chopper later and did well. Mantis took control of this.
8) the New TG squad i retired from. Sawviper or Drizzid took the reigns. Althougth there was a little hickup when the enemy quickly fliped the flag they were defending, the air support helped get it back.

Very good. We had the enemy 140-70 or so with five minutes. Felt good to bring success to the Germans. For the last two weeks the Ukraines have been in command when i play.

We could have moved those fire teams more quickly with a set transport pilot.
Once this recruitment drive is over, i'll try to make this happen, only if there is a CO to communicate things to.

I couldn't play for long but I was in GoatBoy's squad for a round or so and had a blast. We lost the first map and were losing the second when I had to go but it was a good time. Stellar teamwork for the most part.

Re: PoE2 Friday 9/8/06

Some good games tonite. The best game I've had on POE was tonite on Carpathian Mountains that ended 1:45 AM EST. The game was pretty much tied for the whole round until the last 2 minutes when Germany pulled out for the win by ~30. It was pure non-stop brutal offense and defense. It played like Fallen except with vehicles. Good to see a busy server agian on Fridays.

Great job by the 33rd sqaud on that map. We smoked and joked throughout that whole map to take top squad. Good stuff.

Re: PoE2 Friday 9/8/06

I am sure things sucked hard for the Ukraines those last three maps, cause i heard over teamspeak they did not have a CO.

as xTYBALTx would say: BOOOWHOOWHOOO. lol.

I definitely had a blast playing tonight. I can't remember any of the names of the maps, but I pretty much had fun playing them all. Props to Bane and Dark Viper for SL'ing and Thundeer too. Except for Dark getting us killed way too many times in the beginning of one of the maps Also, I hate you Santa lol

Re: PoE2 Friday 9/8/06

Good games all day.
I must of squadleaded 10 rounds today but I will only mention people from the last four that I remember. In my squads were Drs steelo, hambergler, freeno, scythe, Dali, wimpinator, shafic, bomando, and some other people (cant remember everyone). These were the strongest squads I have had the pleasure to lead in POE2 ever. Ninety percent of the flags we attacked we capped and successfully defended. We were also able to maintain pressure on the enemy while deffending.

Thanks Mantis and Rick for CO'ing.

Re: PoE2 Friday 9/8/06

They were some great games. Apart from the whole Ukranian team rushing for one flag for 3 games in a row.

Man, we definitely need more people to step up and CO.

The late night games on Orel and Fallen were the best of the night though. Great work by my all-newcomer squad as well as Freeno, the old hand.

Re: PoE2 Friday 9/8/06

I had a blast all night. Definitely some of the best games yet.(at least as far as the experience in my squads)

I know I started the evening in perry's snipe/arty squad. We were very effective on Dnipro Sunrise with me sniping and perry/me spotting for the arty. Pvt_Meister was in the arty and he racked up a nice 32 kills even though it was his first time using the arty! We really made things rough for whoever was defending the anti air nest. Next map was Dnister River Valley. We never really got much going with the arty that round even though its a great map for it. Oh well...I had fun with the anti material rifle.(ask santa ) After the blowout that Fallen was we had some success on First Snow.

Next up was Guardian. I switched to Germany to help with balance and so I could go frog hunting. Need to keep those frogs in check! The team was still very disorganized but once Arf went commander things started to look up. Unfortunately the server decided to crash then. So back we go to play Orel again. I started a squad...looked like a nasty one based on the SMers. Too bad I didn't get to see the result though...had a stupid BSOD right after we took the first flag. Not helping matters was my controls.con file getting wiped after coming back. Once I figured out what the problem was I thankfully was able to use a backup I had saved.

So I completely missed Orel due to that ordeal. When I got back in for Sambir I decided to go commander for Germany. Figured some organization would turn their luck around. Things went pretty well that round from what I could see. I basically didn't even bother defending the flag closest to our UCB and instead tried to block off all the entry points leading to it. This basically involved holding the two other flags and having smaller squads block roads the best they could. I had good support from the helo and jet squads when they were up. I think half the map I didn't have a proper bomber team or sometimes no helo gunner so sometimes I had issues in getting armor pushes countered. Nice job to all the squads...everyone followed orders to a tee.

Next up was Carpathian Mountains. Man I love this map on the ground...however I decided to jump in the commander seat again. Right out of the gate I had every squad going toward specific flags. I did have an issue with one squad who seemed to ignore my orders and rotate squad leaders for a couple minutes. Eventually Steelo took over and he got them in line though. Once that occured the 33rd got the help they needed in taking the Lumbermill. I knew that flag would be crazy so I always had two full squads defending or attacking it with other squads working on the perimeter flags. The massive battles over that flag looked nuts from my view. Meanwhile Ricks squad was constantly defending or retaking the south western most flag. They lost it a few times due to swarming but always got it back not long after. On the rest of the map I had Troublesome and I believe Thundeer squads moving around where needed. Thanks to those squads for defending in the downtimes. It looked like both your squads saw some decent action now and then. Map went down to the wire and with heavy bleed and some solid defense at Lumbermill at the end we took the win. Great round.

Map after that was Dnipro Sunrise again. This time I was on the germans. Rick jumped in the commander role right away.(thanks!) After a couple runs in the Tornado someone else jumped in it so me and iRoboSapien switched to the EuroTiger which wasn't in use. Eventually we made a squad so Rick could actually utilize us. I haven't flown the choppers much in POE but I knew the AA was deadly. I quickly was reminded of this(doh)....I adjusted though. I stayed away from the air nest and was cautious in how I manuevered to avoid the other stationary AA guns around the map. We started causing some havoc around the map and by the time the server crashed both me and my gunner were performing well with about 2.5 k/d ratios.

So ya..server crash. That one killed the server...guess everyone called it a night base on the time. Me and bommando did get in two nice rounds on Orel and Fallen though. We were both squads leaders for Ukraine(the only two until the last half of Fallen) and both squads were working well when it came to teamwork and not going for the same objectives. Fun times.

Talking Re: PoE2 Friday 9/8/06

There is this really really late night game of Fallen around EST 3am or 4am? (which is the only bit of gaming I get to do tonight...well morning I guess, lol). I think all the TG was on the UKR side (ok, this is not a rant, hear me out would you? ) and I was on the GER side. I was In this full squad after I joined, and the SL was constantly talking about Mantis and Bom, and how that mantis and bommando guy cannot be killed; and how every time we cap a flag we would lose 3 at the same time. I don't think they realize I wear a TG tag, and it is just interesting playing from a non TGer's point of view against the TG's.

hehe, yeah we ran into you guys a few times. You have the sides the wrong way around though. I was certain we were on the UKR. Also, it was Mantis who whored all the TG players. My squad were all new guys (except Freeno) and they played an awesome couple of rounds. Great team players with mics. Took them a while to realise that they must NEVER LET ME DIE, but when we had the guys swapping out kits from fallen medics, they did super.

Mantis' guys seemed to have the hang of keeping him up though. I think he ended up 75-5

Re: PoE2 Friday 9/8/06

Good SLing Rick you did a hell of a job and Sawviper was top dog on our side. I need to offer some apologies to 2 very stupid TK's I had last night. I swear I must be the worst skilled player on this server. Also props to Tybalt who put me in my grave about 7-8 times on Carpathian Mountains. Didn't help having to face off with him and Bommando on more than a few occasions. Great games last night and hope there are more to come

Re: PoE2 Friday 9/8/06

I flew in the Helo earlier on the map with the Beach and Castle with BaneII and had a great round. Somehow I made the helo go into a crazy spin that kept going faster and faster until we crashed. It was quite strange but extremly funny to watch. I then stepped up to the CO seat in the next 2 maps for the German team and lead them to victory . There were a few unpleasant players, but those were taken care of. Thanks admins .
