PW Night 9/19

I especially enjoyed Rivne (The night map) where we were able to repeatedly sneak behind enemy lines to take that cemetary flag. And OH YEA, we paid for it every time the Ukranian's rolled in with their 6 tank squad. Those deaths were more than worth it for the amount of bleed we were able to create, plus the denial of using that armor elsewhere on the battlefield. For a little while we were trotting around with 5 AT's and 1 Support to battle against the 1rst MIP's Grunt and Faultline as well as Tau Nuetrino lobbing artillery at close range. I didn't take a screenshot of my squad that round although I wish I had as I do appreciate those that hung through the barrage, but helped tremendously for us to win that war.

Fallen, Intron, PHJ, Grandpa and RocketPunch helped form a rear guard for the Germans on Orel and prevented the Ukranians from holding flags for a real long time at the outpost and backyard. Well fought as we took this map by a decent margin.

On Sambir, we had some tough battles from the inside of the North Farm. The Village was a blast to assault as the flag there was well defended with infantry, armor and the AA above the flag. We did some damage there before finally snagging that flag. This map ended with a final score of 2-0 loss for the germans. Had we held the South Farm, that would have been a 20 ticket victory for the Germans. Great game by RocketPunch, SirCampalot, WhiskeySix, Knightrider, Abra and Dr. Sabotuer.

Well played throughout and I am happy to see that PW night continues to improve from week to week.

Re: PW Night 9/19

I like the Rivne map a lot, mainly because its a night map and you can sneak right up to an enemy tank or troops without them ever knowing.

Orel our squad mainly was assualting/defending backyard and outpost. I wish the teams were more balance on that map as the UKR have a tough time holding on to their second flag.

Sambir was a fun and close game. The population dropped quite a bit as we have to restart the server a few times, so we ended up playing the 32 player map instead. As lucky Shot mentioned nobody knows which side will win until the last second. What a fun game!

LOL, sort of like this? http://www.tacticalgamer.com/battlef...an-9-13-a.html

I have really been working on how to be effective in POE as a SL where the deaths come faster and the explosions bigger in order to still be effective around the flag and as a spawn point. Comments like that do help me figure out from the other point of view as to my effectiveness as an SL. So I appreciate that.

Orel was a very good map, it seemed like the squad did most everything right. We had some very well executed attacks on the back flags and managed to keep up a decent defense as well.

I even had a positive k/d ratio as an infantry man! Which is always exciting for me :-)

hehehe... lately when attacking a flag, I've made it a first priority to clear the high ground/tall grass 100m out from the flag ... it's funny who you'll find creepin around out there
