Demo released date known!...sorta

Well this is all uncorfirmed stuff but aparently some guy got a e-mail from EA tech support stating the release date for the demo to be October 4th.

This would be for those that preordered through ea downloader...sooo the public release with be october 5th.

But dunno if this whole thing has any hint of truth to it.

Makes sense. Game is dropping on the 17th, so two weeks prior...

If you read on one of the admins says the support guys wern't supposed to give out the release date, so my guess is that they didn't, but we can always hope. Mabey it will come out a week earlier than last time so they can try and find any major bugs before release.

haha acid made a funny...EA releasing the demo early to fix bugs

The game has gone gold, no more bug fixing now until a patch.

Many games have had patches done before they even came out, though, so you need a "zero day" patch to even play online. Diablo II, for example. Whether that happens with BF2142 remains to be seen; I'm thinking they fixed all the bugs they've found so far, or at least all the ones that could possibly be fixed before release.

I have a good feeling that the demo will be much improved over the first beta client. I heard the fixed and tweaked over 1000 things that the beta testers reported! Beta testing = good.
