Monday 10/16 - Late Afternoon

Just wanted to give props to a few guys that rolled through my squad earlier tonight on spies, carpathian, and fallen. Our squad seemed to be the only refuge from the sea of pubbie crazyness. We were on GER for all three rounds and lost all of them, but it was close.

bigsmellyhippy did a great job as assault. murphthesurf and Sargebelz did amazing jobs as AT on carpathian - we held north cabin for half the round, and then since litterally our entire team was attacking the center flag, we decided to take South Cabin. We held both flags as long as we desired. b/tard shifted roles on the maps and did a bangup job. meddler joined mid-round on carpathian and was johnny-on-the-spot as medic. Finally, on fallen LLKJ Kellyr joined and he and I must have racked up 20 C4 kills between us defending trenches.

We didn't get top squad in any rounds according to the numbers, but our defense provided some backbone to the team and helped keep the rounds close (the rest of the team was mostly just doing mass-assaults and then vacating to attack the next flag.)

I'd also like to thank bommando for some active (and at times comical) admin work!


Other highlights of the day:

1) typing "SQUAD 3 DEFENDING N.CABIN" over team chat and having some one on the team reply something like "great, who cares"

2) having SL2 denounce "jihad-jeeps", and then wax poetically about the use of proper car bombs and how flippin sweet they are... about 3.4 seconds later bom kicked him.

I also remember that meddler guy in your squad spawnraping at one point. Some weird players on, yet every time I say get over here or you get booted from the squad, they respond.

Some good games last night, thanks to the sm's in my squad and Tha khan for Sl us later as I got kicked. Now I don't remember at all who all was in the different squads (forgot to take screen there), But I promised the squad with which we defended the castle on whatever map it's called, to post ascreenshot I took. It's on low setting and that takes away from it a bit.
I had a feeling that chopper was gonna pop up again, I died about 0.5 sec later. Hard job war journalism!



+ Great fun on spies like us, this map, like fallen has a huge learning curve. I love servercrashes now!
+ Just discovered the auto photo resizing on the forum, that is awesome. No more resizing for me!

Really? How so? Do your remember which map?

It was one a map without air, wich has a yellow-ish look, fall landscape you could say ahh wait a second I'll just look up the name....
It was zhytomyr, when we had all the flags. It was not really spawnraping to the letter, because you can't go sit in the base due to the dome of death. But there were some guys going straight up to the edge of the base of an already struggling team.

But anyway I just added in that remark because I was surprised to recognize the name. I'm not sure he was one of those players going up to the flag. Might be that I just remember the name because he punished me for a TK or something like that.
