Good PW Night 10/21
Good rounds tonight on PW night! Want to thank those who hit my squad at any point this evening.
Started out on Fallen on the German side and saw 3 full 6 man squads so I formed my own. Helped near Bane's squad, but primarily set up myself to be a nuisance to the enemy. Eventually TD Bomber, Candy and Marstein hit the squad. We were decently effective elminating inbound threats to the North Cabin and also helped an assault on the Crash Site. The battles in the woods to the north of the Crash Site was intense at times, but had a good time spotting enemies early and slowing down their advance. Zhytomyr was up next with my squad rounding out. Our primary role was to defend the German initial flag. As time went on, and as it became obvious that the enemy was not coming, our squad would move around the battlefield looking for open armor pieces to occupy, then mass them towards one flag or another. Our squad helped support at 3 different flags including the NW, SE and NE flags inspite me never leaving the main. Good job to Marstien, TD Bomber, LockeOak, Rocket and Candy who followed orders to a T and supported other squads all over the battlefield. I never saw the enemy once at the flag we held and ended up with an impressive 0 kills, 0 deaths but we won 49-0. Spies Like Us rolled up next and with LockOak, Marstein, Rocketpunch, Yonton and TDBomber, we managed to hit every flag at one point or another. Our most impressive moves were the defense of the windmills and the best assault was the attack on the Nuke site. This map is so difficult to run and gun, however, a little smoke can do wonders. The squad was at it's best in this round. Orel was a bit off for us tonight. Seemed that we couldn't seem to kit up right. At one point on defense with the enemy moving to point blank range, our guys seemed to pick up sniper kits instead of assault, support or medics. So instead of being revived, we would end up with 1 sniper or 1 engineer wondering why everyone else was dead. Overall, great rounds tonight and really enjoyed the heavy run of infantry maps. Re: Good PW Night 10/21
Can't say it was a great night from my vantage point. The German side was way to unorganized and it showed because for the whole night I was on the UKR just pushed us right off the map every round. No defense for the Germans! It was cap a flag and move on. SLs need to start looking at the map and recognize when to advance and when to stay put and defend. Too many squads bunched up trying to take flags when a chopper would just fly by and drop a guy and then the only CP we had was lost. Oh well we all have good and bad nights right?

Re: Good PW Night 10/21
Our flag at Zhytomyr see no action at all, which is good as that keeps a healthy supply of armors for us to support other squads.
Spies Like Us gets more and more interesting the more I play it. GER lost that round but it was fun.

I was on the German side. I don't know if I played at the same time as you did, but we won Zhytomyr and Fallen. We lost Spies Like Us due to SL's not paying attention to the map and the same on Orel, however, that wasn't the case on Zhytomyr or Fallen. Can't speak about the other maps.

Some good rounds, much better than it was earlier in the afternoon. Thanks to everyone who rotated through my squad. ![]()

Seriously though, I was a little disappointed with the lack of UKR cohesion on a few maps. We had a great time in the 7th again and stuck with UKR the whole night, seeing half wins and half losses by that team. The consistent theme of the night was that on the maps we lost, I noticed a lot of squads floundering on no man's land while we were under bleed. It brings to mind the get on the flag thread. It was very frustrating seeing squads sitting off in the middle of nowhere, reticent to get bodies on the flag. Time to resurrect the testicles squad methinks. |

Re: Good PW Night 10/21
I served in E-Male's 1sMIP squad and had another terrific night.
We confronted Lucky's squad on different fronts. Both sides tried to suppress and flank, lots of fun... I remember E-Male coordinating with Bom's squad using his minimap on couple of occasions, attacking to the flag they targeting from a different direction. It worked pretty well as expected. Salute to allied and opfor squads. |
