Server Lag

Has the lag issue still been a problem? Is it the same or has it been resolved?

Just got off and it was fine, except for sometimes (especially when flying) and action you do does not happy till like 10 seconds after you input it. But this happens to me on all servers so not TG servers fault.

It's okay but there is lag right after a match, for about 1-2 minutes at least. Also sometimes the server burps as well causing confusion if your in a tough fight. The server works more often than not though and you can still play comfortably.

When the server first came up I lagged like a mad man. Now I only get (there is a problem with your connection) once or twice an hour as opposed to 2 or 3 times in 15 minites. So whatever it is you did, thanks

I was getting a bit of lag yesterday night around 6PM EST. The server was getting full but the lag didn't last that long.

Last night, 7PM EST, I had a decent amount of rubber banding. A few times, it was so bad I'd be back where I was 5 seconds ago. I don't experience this much lag on other ranked servers while in the Titan.

Also, I notice that my ping is over 100 when my ping with BF2 has always been 30ish. Maybe the individual who is hosting this server for us just doesn't have the CPU/Network capability and we need to consider hosting on TG's server.

I thought I'd never say this, but I'm actually having a better game experience on public servers over TGs

The 1-2 minutes pause before a map loads definitely needs to be resolved. It is a huge issue and it causes many people to quit our server and move on, so our population is constantly low at the beginning of a map and high at the middle.

It's not an individual hosting this server. It's hosted by Hypernia. Individuals can not host ranked servers.

Ah. So the server is on an 'approved' EA rank host? That's why we can't have the ranked server on our usual TG servers? Well, are there more choices than Hypernia? Maybe we need to drop them.

I assume we have the 150/month 75 player server option?

The folks who run ranked servers enter into deep and mysterious contracts with EA to offer ranked servers to everyone on the planet who wants one. I can't imagine WANTING that hassle, were it even possible; TG is a name and not a company in and of itself.

Huh? I never said lets, as TG, become an EA rank host. Just maybe we need to find another host besides Hypernia. We could have TG as a community try out other hosts and we could have an official thread for people to post what host the server they played on was. The host with the most votes saying their servers run smooth wins TGs money.

You'd have to admit, right at this moment, Hypernia is not giving us our money's worth. And I would expect them to offer some form of a refund. Waiting 2 minutes between each map and constant rubber-banding are not acceptable.

I agree in switching to another host. If it's not much hassle, I think it would be better in the long run. The delay between rounds, occasional lag, players disconnecting, 15 hour reboot response, etc. is just not worth it. TG should be giving money to a server host that provides TG quality service.

Maybe some nagging will make Hypernia install more of their "Hyper-memory" or whatever they call it for free to make up for the dismal service.

The server is a 3.0GHz HT machine with 2GB of memory. So it's kind of a hybrid between a couple of their server options. But I do agree, Hypernia doesn't seem to be cutting it.

TG is not footing the bill for this server. I am. In fact, it is costing TG nothing for this server except a few memberships to TG.
