PW night 10/25

Normally PW nights bring out the highest level of gameplay and I think the Ukraine side brought their A game. We were sorely lacking on the German side. We ran through Spies Like Us, Orel, Battle of Sambir, and Carpathian Mountain. Even though Orel was deceptively close, overall the Ukraine edged the Germans over the 4 games by 984-0.

Well, inspite of the beating, we managed top squad 4 rounds in a row. Before this comes off as a self appointed back patting, it just seemed that a lot of other squads just weren't able to put it together. We had a lot of opportunity for tighter squad play within our squad as we tended to get stretched out and made some questionable errors. Inspite of that, I would like to thank Barracuda Magoo, Lunisicx, Sordavie, Child of Babylon, Jonesmaster, Smoke, Sassy, MajorIssuez99, VSF Artic, TanceVYRUS, Sunborder, and of course, Coffeeman.

Re: PW night 10/25

Yeah, the teams didnt seemed to have the right balance last nite. After playing on Ukraine for the majority of the night, I got switched on Carpathian to Germany. Sassy was COing and boy I thought I could hear her teeth grinding. She even requested me to get out and squad lead but by then it was way too late for a comeback. Near the end, a quite a few folks were being kicked for various reasons. I remember a CO being kicked for justing sitting in the arty and using the zoom to fire even after being warned. Seems like some folks dont appreciate the meaning of Password Night. I can see why the admins lean towards banning on these nights.

Re: PW night 10/25

I felt that the teams were a bit biased last night in favor of Ukraine. It seemed like it was the 12th and 33rd plus a few other regulars vs the 5th and a bunch of pubbies. Lucky's squad did very well considering the circumstances, and I think his squad was one of the few with any semblance of order.

The 33rd gallantly switched sides for Dnipro and Fallen toward the end of the evening around about 12-1am EST (just Viper, Bane, and me with three other right honorable folk in the "For Sassy's Sake" squad).

We were then gallantly instructed by the 12th in the important matters of "how to have flags repeatedly stripped from you after only 1 minute of possession" and "how to have your flanking maneuver outflanked."

Ohhh, the 12th! D@MN YOUUUUUUU!!!

That 12th group was one good squad, indeed.

Fallen was hilarious as well as frustrating. Since my squad was half 33rd and half new comers, I knew I couldnt take on the 12th squad head-on. I spent a good deal of the time playing guerilla tactics and kept switching between the Crash Site and Trenches. We would take one of the flags and hold it until the 12th came back. I couldnt participate in the battle since I had to stay alive as a spawn point so we could stay on the south side of the stream. Eventually, Mantis got around to tracking me down and eliminating me but I lasted a lot longer than I expected to. It would've worked a little better if the other squads on our side had been more organized. The frustrating part was the lack of teamwork to achieve goals but I used the time to try new tactics. The hilarious part was sitting back and listening to the running commentary of my squad mates. The constant cry of Sid saying "Oh, I'm down", every time he encountered the 12th, echoing through the forest was quite hilarious.

Re: PW night 10/25

I was hoping UKR would lose that round.(Fallen) I was the medic in the 12th squad but none of the other squads had even one other medic for the entire first 2/3rds of the round. Thats one medic on the entire team for 15-17 players for 2/3rds of a round. Ridiculous. The other squads were just wasting tickets left and right and the k/d ratio showed this. Despite this we still won with heavy bleed...

Why no password required on password night?

I played Orel around 20:15. A password was required then.
