Thank you PRM!!!!! Some of you may have read my post concerning my "blah" attitude towards BF2 recently. I just got fed up with pumping rounds into an enemy only to have them turn around (with no apparent ill effects) and kill me.
Then comes TacMod. WOOT!!!!! I was great but after POE2 came out the number of players showing up began to dwindle. I won't even go into POE2 and the cluster that that has become (in my opinion). Well last night I downloaded PRM and jumped in really expecting it to be yet another "blah-blah" mod. Hell I couldn't have been more wrong. There are so many great things!!! I love not having that damn kill list thing on the screen, I hated the fact that I could just fire into the brush and wait for the "you have killed Bob The Builder" to tell me that the enemy was down. I've also always been a big fan of getting rid of the phantom cross hairs on the screen. Oh and let me tell you that the sonic "CRAK" of a round going over your head is OUTSTANDING not to mention a huge part of the realism that is missing in most games. So many things to list..... the shot to the head with a rifle that actually kills...... three rounds to the chest and it's a dead bad guy..... hitting someone twice in the chest and the impact drives them off the cliff face........ SUPPRESSING FIRE THAT ACTUALLY MAKES PEOPLE GET DOWN OR MOVE.......... body armor, what a concept.......... not having 15 snipers on one side just because they all have a higher ground advantage....... several choices of weapon kits depending on whether you are more anti-personnel or anti-vehicle....... did I miss anything??? Thanks a bazillion!!!!!! |

I actually haven't had a chance to use them. I only played about half a map last night and am still in the process of picking a kit that I'm comfortable with. I think I'm going to be fielding the grenadier kit for a while and I'll let you know how well the smokes work in that kit. |

I hope that the PR team has better destincions on the kit icons. rifleman gre anti-personnel right now are showing ups as all assault (vanillia icon) be cool to have a new icon for rifleman and anit-personnel but i doubt it.
