Thanks for the SL Fehmart 11/28 night

Thanks for stepping forward and SL'ing. You did a great job. We dominated Belgrade and Gebraltier as PAC.

On another note, I want to say that I managed to kill BHack and his newly dropped beacon right after he podded down to the power generater earlier tonight. That was a personal victory of mine as that guy rules flag taking. I wanted to hang around and hold the flag cuz I knew he'd be coming back, but SL order to leave.

Re: Thanks for the SL Fehmart 11/28 night

"Hey, thanks" "Cheers"

I think I'm too wishy-washy as a SL, but I'm trying to get better at it. It certainly helped that I had people willing to put up with my crazy orders AND the gun drone that I tried out for half a round before just going with the infinitely more useful recon "flying bullseye" or bacon on Tunis Harbor.

I remembered overhearing someone one round, who remarked that all the TG people jumped on the same squad. Now, I'm not one to talk, as I've done it myself, but when someone actually says something about it, it probably means that a lot of people have been noticing this sort of "clique"-ish behavior. I don't mean to come off as too criticizing, because like most of the people who play here, I like consistent squad play with people I can trust. It's just really telling when you see all the TGers stacked up on one squad.

I know TG "awards" for 2142, similar to those for BF2, don't exist yet, or possibly ever, but in particular, I'd like to nominate LuckyStrike for his devotion to armor busting as an engineer on Belgrade. And in general, the members of my squad (I really need to screenshot the post-game reports) for being cool cats and sticking with me through SL silliness.

And finally, if you capped Bhack and his bacon, let me know! That guy is an absolute menace to any flag lol

I'm not trying to be mean, but I've seen it quite a bit on the forums. Maybe I missed the joke somewhere on the forums. But since when did we start dropping thin slices of fried, fatty pork for squadmates to break fast on in this game?

And yes, cheers to Fehmart and others sticking to SL when the roullete pointed to them. Also, I think I've successfully defended a flag against a BHack squad once... but I'm not sure he was leading it

I never join the TG learn squads, and I think those are getting too many actual TG people in them. I usually see 4 out of 6 wearing TG tags in it. I always try to get into the squads who are led by TG tags, though.

Re: Thanks for the SL Fehmart 11/28 night

As for the "bacon", I can make two excuses:
1) When I used to play Natural Selection a lot, there was a commander ability called "Distress Beacon" which recalled all members of the team, alive or dead, to the starting marine base. We just took to calling it "bacon" instead. "Shirtguns" for "shotguns", "commando" for "commander", etc.

2) One of the random tips that 2142 shows during load time refers to the beacon as "bacon", intentionally.

Thanks I've loved busting armor since BF1942.

You're a fine SL. I like to have fun while gaming and I did last night. I liked the 'wall hack' drone too

It's tough facing an all TG squad so I'll will often join a pubbie squad that is named 'Teamwork' or 'VOIP' etc... and give all I have.

Re: Thanks for the SL Fehmart 11/28 night

yea, my squad and I definitely got worked on some of those flag cap attempts. Damn you jepzilla and your sniping!

It is funny, looking at my stats I have squad lead like 80% of the time I've played.

The map loads up, I stare at the squad screen, I wait... patiently.

I know you are all doing the same thing, waiting for someone, anyone, with TG tags to start a squad.

I usually just give in and yell "FINE" at my monitor. lol.

I'm all for any initiative that calls for dropping delicious pork products for squadmates in a game. Hmmmmm....poooooork.

SL: Okay, I'll spawn in and drop the bacon on the catwalk.
SM1: Roger that. I got the pork skins.
SM2: Dibs on the ribs.
SM3: I guess I'll come in with ham then.
SM4: I'll keep you supplied with chitterlings.
**SM4 got kicked from the squad**
