Easy. You probably don't use FX 2.0 that has a built-in spell checker.

Work on a class that you would like to use. Not many like engineer but I've logged many hours as an engie and rack up a lot of kills with the SMG. I'm used to close combat, one-on-one engagements so the SMG is more useful for the way I play.

You could also just stick with your current soldier and get more unlocks. My current and only soldier has a little over half the unlocks. I've spread them out among all the classes so I'm quite well rounded. It's nice to be able to switch to another class without logging out. I've got something for any situation.

Re: New Soldier

Sarc is right. Ask yourself what you want to do: Do you want to be an up-close, in-the-thick-of-it grunt, or is the role of supporting your mates more to your style? Once you decide that, it's easy to pick unlocks. One thing I would reccomend is to get the spawn beacon and frag grenades, and then unlock one item for each kit so if you have to use that kit for some reason, it's got something to it. Also remember, field unlocks are your friends. They are a great way to try new items before you get them, and can help you to decide to get that item or not. I'm glad I field-tested the Ganz HMG, or I would have unlocked it and wasted an unlock point, because I hate that gun. Also, unlocking weapons from field unlocks let's you use points on gear, and then you can get the weapons. Remember try it before you buy it.

Re: New Soldier

Well both Sarc and 50AE have covered the point very well.

Although for me, what I want to do, and what suits me best is two different things. Ultimately, I think it comes down to which kit suits you more, which really ends up answering what you can do best. So if you're like me, medium to close range hotzone engagements, emergency medic response, and sneaky-sneaky commando work is what I feel most comfortable and good at doing. So I have all of assault kit and working on getting all of recon kit fitted out, along with all player abilities.

Now that I think about it, I do have a second soldier, and I usually use that soldier to get other kits that my main one hasn't gotten to or won't get to in a while, so I can test it out and see if it works out for me. You could try and see.

Re: New Soldier

I just thought of why one shouldn't create a second soldier. The player ability unlocks are valuable. I'd hate to have to waste 2-3 unlocks to get access to the sprint upgrades. I never knew how helpful they are until I unlocked them after logging ~7 hours of play.

Re: New Soldier

Just stick to one account and you'll eventually unlock practically everything (or at least one side of every class).

But if you like fighting up close and have nothing for Support, I'd recommend the Clark shotgun (right side Support tree). It's a completely different style of play compared to any other gun (even compared to the assult shotgun). The only downside is your completely useless at long range.
