Autojoined to squad?

how can i stop it from autoadding me to a team after the switch? It's really annoying, and i can't leave my solosquad until i'm alive (i.e. 1:30 later) so i miss the "good" squads that i have fun playing in. It's really annoying.

am i doing something to cause this? All i do is click join game and it makes me a squad leader in a squad with no members.

I just want to make sure that this is a new bug and not an existing bug.

The existing bug is where you are still in a squad at map start, or it appears that way but really you are squadless and you cannot leave that squad. Then 90 secs latter you are kicked for squadless.

It doesnt sound like this is whats happening as you can leave your solosquad when you spawn.

Can you give us more details
Can anyone join your solo squad when everyone is squading up at start of map?
Does this only happen when you join the server?
Does this happen at map change?
If it is at map change then how often does it happen?

Are you pressing the Insert key at any stage? Insert creates a new squad by default. If you click join and find yourself automatically a squad leader, then it's very likely you are creating the squad yourself somehow.

I have never, ever heard of a bug that automatically makes you a SL of a new squad without interaction from you.

I've been experiencing the bug that ExplodingSilver was talking about. It's happened to me twice in about 4 days. Is it a bug with core BF2142?

Edit: Never mind - I found my answer in other threads. "Search" function. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle!
