12/13 Late Late Night with the TG Server

It was, oh say, 12:15-ish when I finally got onto the conquest server. Immediately, I was disconnected. So, I try again, and we're playing. While I started on Belgrade, the fun didn't start till we go to a round of Camp Gibraltar. The Belgrade map was mostly dumb since our CO wasn't commanding and being, as Fehmart put it, a whore.

Now, I'm not a fan of Camp Gibraltar since it's so cramped, but I had much fun sniping around the Toll Station gates. The highlight was sniping (by myself mostly) against Jepzilla, Dark Viper, Asch and this other TG guy, I forget his name. It was here that I went on a rampage of head shots. I recieved 4 Infiltrator Pins in this round.

Not since the days of the true TG server have I had this much fun. When will I see those days again?

Yeah, tonight was a pretty fun night. I had a long day, and I didn't want to SL today, I'm such a bum. Frank and RAMROD did a fine job, though. Surprisingly, on both rounds of Gibraltar, the assaulting team won.

Belgrade was pretty interesting, despite the fact that our CO spent the round occupying our only armor besides the Statue point walker. Lots of back and forth fighting for points, often between TG squads. It was intense.

And Gibraltar was great fun, too. Our squad, led by RAMROD, tried to break through Toll Station sooooooooooo many times. Go defibs! Somehow, we won by ticket losses against the EU. The second time, a military clown car broke through, grabbed our walker (shockingly, NO squad had chosen to at least claim it and get it blown up at Harbor, and you know I can't hit juking targets, Jep!), and led to our squad's battle for the back flags.

I usually play assault, so it was fun trying out recon on tonight's maps. Two annoying things about TKing in the recon's specialized role:
1) Dying from friendly APC mortars while setting RDX on enemy armor.
2) TKing friendlies who decide that it's in their best interests to hump the enemy armor being RDX'd.

Had a great time with Revark doing some great SLing.

Close games including a phenominal comeback where we were down on tickets, but took all the flags and mopped up the remaining OPFOR.

That Berlin game was super fun indeed. I think my squad did the tide turning...

We tried left and then right and then left side twice with squad 4. Just could not seem to break through.

I saw the APC and one of my SM s suggested we take it and force our way through... Awesomely enough I drove that APC right through enemy Walker's legs and opened up a Spawn in the back flag. We defended there held off some small forces. and moved on to the front lines and took that last flag.

Piba, Devol, UsedTobeFat and couple of more guys Thanks... You guys were one well oiled mahcine. I have not SLed since my BF2 days. Now I am gonna do so more often.

Actually I think it was our whole side coming together right there near the end that made it possible. Ticket count was like 120 to 50. Think the game ended at 0 to 27. Great having a 70 point comeback right at the end of the game!
