Heyas. I know some of you from the Total2142 forums, but as Bommando knows, I'm a big fan of the TG servers and thought some of you might be interested in this tournament. I haven't been in it that long, but i think it's very cool and probably up the alley of a lot of you guys here.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me here or at Total2142.

cheers,
-sep

Attention Soldiers,

22ndCenturyWarfare.com (22CW) is a free military style tournament based on Battlefield 2142.

22CW is unlike any other clan ladder or online tournament you have ever seen. Players will participate in simulated wars using our tournament's very own mod where vehicles have been tweaked, weapons have been balanced (and are general much stronger), and player sprint capacity has been expanded greatly. All your unlocks that you’ve earned in ranked play are available to you in this mod.

The tournament includes commanding officers, divisions, and a grand battle map on the front page showing the progress of the war from week to week. Members can climb their way to the top, command their own company of soldiers or even become a Supreme Commander of their own division!

The best, and most fun aspect of the tournament is the teamwork. Contrary to most pub play, the entire team is on teamspeak throughout the matches (each squad in its own channel with the ability to cross talk to other squads and to everyone on the team). Each squad has specific duties and roles, and the organization and teamplay is superlative. You will not play a more team-oriented match of 2142 anywhere else! It’s a ton of fun. You have to experience it firsthand to really understand.

The latest 22CW campaign brought the soldiers of 22CW some of the best work ever seen in BF2142 mods and maps. Changes planned for the next campaign are being kept tightly under wraps – hints of adding game play variety, vehicle, and air force asset improvements have been made (a cloakable FAV?!). This next campaign’s battlefield is expected to introduce much more covert operations which will no doubt separate the wheat from the chaff.

But the mod itself – spectacular as it is – is only half of the 22ND Century Warfare story. The dedication of the 22ND Century Warfare Society’s leadership, membership and organization is unparalleled in the realm of Future warfare tournaments. Smacktards don’t last long here, and team play is the rule, not the exception. Every soldier in 22CW participates in making their division a well-oiled machine. The results are undeniable. The 10-hour battles each week of the campaign are the most intense and rewarding way that Battlefield 2142 can be played. 22CW virgins all describe one or more of the following after their first battle day: shivers, goose bumps, severe euphoria, cold sweats, and/or the inability to recall what it was you were supposed to do in RL six hours ago.

When you register you will be placed on a faction permanently, either EU or PAC. It’s a persistent tournament where you play with the same team against one other team for a number of weeks. Both the EU 19th and the PAC 63rd divisions have taken enormous casualties and need YOU! Just google "22cw" to find the tourney site and join the epic struggle (I don't have enough posts to include an url). Registration is open now, so don’t hesitate to become a soldier in your favorite country.

The PAC forces are a bit down in numbers, so it is encouraged that for the time being you join on this side. The PAC armor division has recently gone through some changes, so if armor is your thing, this is your moment! Tell em Seppuku sent you.

I know some of your modders, good bunch of guys.

If I had skills (and time) I'd look into CW.

Re: 22cw

If you have the inclination, look into 22CW. I've played in the 21CW tournament (21st Century Warfare, based on BF2) and it was TOP-NOTCH gameplay. Every Friday was a 12 hour-long battle in which you were free to come and go as you pleased.

Re: 22cw

I don't think so. The 21CW tournament was in-house with different groups representing the different armies (complete with organizational structure based on military units).

Re: 22cw

I played 21CW a lot back in the day - I'm a Whiskey through and through! Just didn't have enough time to dedicate to practice after a while though. The battles were extremely fun though!

Re: 22cw

I played BF2C tourney for a while and looked into the 22CW but I just 't have the time to devote to a couple of practices per week, plus battlesday, plus any public server play.

I actually found the TG server through an ad on the 22CW forums
